Farrington fox Posted 3 March 2017 Share Posted 3 March 2017 Had a few social aquaintances with Rudkin during Adams and Pearsons first tenure. He was at the time in charge of the academy and youth team setup. As alluded too earlier, that was where I would have placed him. How the hell he's got to this position, god knows. He must specialise in Brown nosing.

Bossman Blessed It Posted 3 March 2017 Share Posted 3 March 2017 His involvement with the academy and the subsequently terrifying lack of first team prospects we produce paints a pretty grave picture. Besides King, Chilwell and Schlupp, I'm struggling to think of any notable academy products in the past 8 years or so. His face tells it all. He looked about as exuberant as a blow-up doll when Vardy scored his first against Liverpool and has that nasty, evil henchman with a tinge of jaundice demeanour. More to the point, he has less footballing credentials than any manager we've ever had. How you can direct the football at a club, when your only achievement in the game is doing sort of okay for an academy team is absolutely ridiculous. Leicester's very own Iago... justfoxes Posted 3 March 2017 Share Posted 3 March 2017 Rudkin actually looks like he's enjoying his high profile position with the owners looking far too comfortable in that photo !!
notnow john Posted 3 March 2017 Share Posted 3 March 2017 How did he get the job? What happened to the previous incumbent, was it Terry Robinson? Seemed to leave under a cloud but can't remember what it was.
Wymsey Posted 3 March 2017 Share Posted 3 March 2017 Must be the only one who supports Rudkin? Knows more about the club than most fans (having worked behind the scenes for years albeit mainly on the youth side), and the owners when they came would've wanted someone who knew the club inside out to help them understand LCFC and he fits the bill for that. But there's more than recruitment that he does, as convinced that him being seen with the owners at the training ground suggests he's still highly thought of for a certain reason - even after a couple poor recruitment buying decisions. And answer this, how many players have the likes of Arsenal, Liverpool, Man City and Man Utd (in particular) purchased for large fees but those playerd never or have failed to made the grade there? - Without looking deeply, there's a few in recent seasons. Hence maybe Rudkin will realise, now, that he's made mistakes in the big fees involved for recent recruitment acquisitions and will in future be more 'competitive in terms of cost viability v true/potential true worth of potential targets and be more diligent? One, like me, would hope so. With regards to our signings, Musa is very hit-and-miss or very frustrating player - just one or two things affect his overall play from being an effective player fir the money we paid for him. Amartey is still young and had been switched to a couple of positions by Ranieri making him not being as much 'use' as he potentially can be (I do have high hopes for him if carefully assigned to the team). I've asked for info like this before and, to be far, have got a few answers. I can't stand the bollox that seems to be posted on this forum, without evidence to back it up. You never know what to believe, and ultimately conclude..don't believe a great deal.
