Star striker out, main playmaker out team looking knackered and playing poorly (according to my mate). No excuses for sitting back in this one. It's very hard to play our usual high press and intense style of play twice in 3 days. So from a fitness levels perspective, the defensive approach made sense against Arsenal. Our players should be fresh, playing at a high tempo and on the front foot against West Brom. It's also very tiring defending for 90 minutes with very little possession and conceding a late goal.

Suzie the Fox Posted 29 April 2017 Posted 29 April 2017 Feeling confident the 3 points are coming our way and going for Mahrez scoring 1st goal. Final result 0-2

Since when does chasing the ball and constantly defending for 70 minutes conserve energy? If anything, the players will be tired today and we should look at freshening things a little bit. I believe some are erroneously thinking we deliberately played poorly against Arsenal for some strange reason. That's not how Shakespeare and these players work.
UniFox21 Posted 29 April 2017 Posted 29 April 2017 Shinji comes in for Ulloa so guess we'll try to press again
