Shot 4 squirrel last weekend... they ended most of my garden... 16 tomato plants, 7 cucumber plants, 6 squash and 6 zucchini plants... then the god dam×Ed deer got my red, yellow and orange peppers, my jalapeños, and my cilantro... $uck the wild life, I'm shooting to kill this fall, winter and next spring... not to mention the remainder of this summer season...

You're right of course. They do say o-re-ga-no, but they pronounce it wrong, o-reg-ano.

Safe in the knowledge that bluetits had now finished with our birdbox for the season, I cleaned it out.

Over the last few weeks, we have had many Chaffinches in our garden and this morning Mrs. FFF noticed one fly from our bird box. Curious, I turned the birdbox camera on and was surprised to see what looks like a completed nest.

Didn't know they could breed this late in the year unless it's the weather that's had something to do with it?

Scarifying the lawn is now one of lifes few pleasures I find.

 

Seeing endless piles of thatch, moss, and dead grass coming out is so satisfying.

 

Fvck me I'm getting old :unsure:

The early autumn lawn care routine is my favorite of household chores. Dethatched/scarified earlier this week, aerator today, then a mix of sand and soil to even out the low spots, followed by seed, fertilizer, and water. Dogs won’t be in the yard for a few weeks until the new grass takes hold.

 

Will be sore tomorrow!

Managed to get a sunflower to 230cm before September. Me and my sister have started to make it a contest. I won by 2 metres 🤣. 

 

Not sure how to get the seeds out properly now.

Just grab it by the shaft and shake up and down and gently rub the head until the seeds flow out.
