Thracian Posted 10 July 2017 Posted 10 July 2017 Stoke City winger Marco Arnautovic has this afternoon handed in a transfer request. The Austrian international, has grown increasingly frustrated with what he sees as a lack of ambition at the bet365 Stadium, and wants to be able to move on this summer. In recent weeks, he’s been linked with £15m moves to AC Milan, PSG and West Ham. Last summer Everton were one of a number of clubs interested in the 28-year old who joined Stoke from Werder Bremen four years ago, for the bargain fee of £2m. Stoke boss Mark Hughes has done everything to keep hold of Arnautovic, who signed a lucrative new four-year-deal last summer, keeping him at Stoke until 2020. The winger is with the Stoke squad on pre-season tour in Switzerland. One source has told us that they believe Arnautovic has had his head turned and his heart is no longer in the Potteries.
StanSP Posted 10 July 2017 Posted 10 July 2017 only ever linked with him through some lazy journalism. never actually put a bid in for him to my knowledge. I'd probably steer clear as well. Better players out there for similar value and really not a fan of his attitude or discipline. If fans don't like Mahrez's attitude (which isn't that bad on the pitch), they definitely won't like Arnautovic's when things go bad

When he wants to, hehe can be pretty effective, but just one of those players that thinks they deserve better and think something like walking away from the club will improve his opportunities.

West Ham United, aka Desperation FC, are of course interested . I do wonder whether they do any research in to their targets at all or just watch Twitter to see who's being talked about.

Didn't look too good in the replay, he was in serious pain.
