Bellend Sebastian Posted 7 October 2017 Posted 7 October 2017 Can't even drive a car into a load of people without everyone saying it's a terror attack these days. They've ruined it for everyone, they really have

Knowing that road layout and where the car has ended up, it genuinely just looks like an accident, maybe he was on his phone or something. Of course there's going to be a high police response to such an incident as they'd have no idea what is happening to begin with. Apart from ISIS themsevles being pigs, how annoying are those people who always roll out the 'religion of peace strikes again', 'part and parcel', 'bet it was a radicalised Buddist', what are they even trying to achieve? Confirmed as a road traffic incident. Radicalised Buddhist

It was Fairly safe call looking at the driver ... turns out he can’t drive and has no licence to be driving in the UK , terrorising people as he went along Funny you should mention it there is 4 recorded cases in the UK of drivers deliberately killing themselves and on 3 occasions they killers other innocent other travellers in other cars , all 4 cases the drivers were on an SSRIs #toxic

There is a correlation between diagnosed depression and suicide? My god man, you are on to something here.

'be prepared' - yeh right like the government are, nothing changes just same old speel about we are united, we wont be beaten blah feckin blah 'be vigilant' - sure if you want to be labelled a racist. 'support the police doing an incredibly hard job' - no wonder its so hard, there are hardly any police around any more and they have f'all power anyway. Eh? The secret services foil terror plots all the time, sounds as prepared as one can be for nutcases with access to cars and basic weaponry to me? Your second point is just bizarre. I doubt anyone's been branded a racist for phoning through a credible terror attack tip-off. Your third point, police literally shot dead three terrorists on the spot just a few months back. Seem like reasonable powers to deal with such a threat to me. Of course, they could be better funded though. At the end of the day Khan's offering practical advice and trying to live in "the real world". Isn't that what people want from their politicians? Or would you rather they spouted more platitudes like the one you mention? Anyway, guess this is all fairly moot in relation to this thread about a bad bit of driving.

I know, just pointing out in my own special way that one needs to be careful assuming that correlation = causation.
Rincewind Posted 9 October 2017 Posted 9 October 2017 A good proportion of tip offs originate from family and people within their community who are concerned about a persons behavior. I think the authorities will be able to detemine those that are racially intended. A few years ago when I worked in the hosiery I used to know people who moaned about all the immigrants working illegally in factories. They said things like 'Its common knowledge everyone knows whos doing it.' I relied 'If it is illegal report them and give the police the names. Their response 'Oh but I'd be branded a racist. I just smiled and said no more.
