Arriba Los Zorros Posted 19 October 2017 Posted 19 October 2017 Shame to lose the bloke it really is. Whether it had to be done or not. Notice the comment about 'given time and once at full-strength' sneaked in there Hope he is able to drop down a couple of leagues and do really well with some team.

Tielemans63 Posted 19 October 2017 Posted 19 October 2017 I don't mean this as a dig but I never wanted to him to get the job because I didn't want it to get to this point and it was always going to. Wish he was still at the club as the excellent assistant manager he clearly is.
Sublime_Coatsworth Posted 19 October 2017 Posted 19 October 2017 Looks like you missed a line off at the end of that statement .... "...and a special thanks to that cvnt Rudkin, I'm sure we'll bump into each other soon"
Soar Fox Posted 19 October 2017 Posted 19 October 2017 Good honest men like Shakey losing there jobs whilst incompetent snakes like Rudkin keeping there’s. Little by little my love for the club is dwindling.
Monsell1976 Posted 19 October 2017 Posted 19 October 2017 It’s horrible he’s lost his job after all these years, but he must have known the risk he was taking, this being his first managers job. The right decision was made for the club, and hope he gets a job soon, and gets the experience he needs, and one day, see him managing in the premier league again, when he’s ready.

HankMarvin Posted 19 October 2017 Posted 19 October 2017 High levels of performance in the last 3 seasons? in 10 games season 1 and in 5 in season 3 maybe season 4 we can hope for 2.5 high level games

Yeah he sneaked that little dig in there. haha He's being much more of a gentleman about it than many would be, though. Still, most of the prem winning team was available to him, though...

norwichfox Posted 19 October 2017 Posted 19 October 2017 Sad to lose him completely, but he wasn't right for the managers job...he's far too nice

Clubs have injuries and have no strikers, we have an embarrassment of riches in that department. Part and partial of being a football manager, sure it didnt help but he did have about £60 million of signings available to him that most clubs outside the top 6 would bite your hand off for.
Cincinnati Fox Posted 19 October 2017 Author Posted 19 October 2017 We as fans need to force that scumbag Rudkin out destroying so much good work with his incompetence.

Can have all the expensive strikers you want. But if your £30 million pound striker isn’t as good as your £1 million non league striker you aren’t going to play him are you.

Not many clubs have the farcical situation of selling one of your best players, integral to the way you play, and failing to bring in his replacement by 14 seconds though.

Thats not the point i am making, other managers lower half managers constantly mention the quality of our bench. He had Iborra and Ndidi to pick in Midfield, or he could've tried something different Ndidi and mahrez in a diamond gray on the right or central and mahrez on the right. People moan about the quality of our midfield should go look at Teams like Newcastle and Burnley, it doesn't stop them picking up points

The Tottenham match for me should have distinguished any hopes he had of getting the job full time. He fell to pieces in that match in what appeared to be random attacking substitutions with no game plan as we chased the game. I'd have told him at the end of last season here's a £1m bonus for keeping us up but we're going to look elsewhere and try and persuade the new manager to keep you on. The infuriating thing for me about this whole saga was this was always going to be the likely conclusion that he'll be found out to be not good enough. Also I thought it was imperative we got a new man at the helm with no links to the current squad and who came in with no favourites and his own ideas. I felt by appointing Shakey we were clinging on to our title winning team in the hope that it sparked to life again.

Look at last comments on DD last season he certainly wasnt regarded as one of the best players, people only started saying that when they saw how we played this year from july liverpool "Drinkwater continuing his shit form from last season, no way should he start the opening game against Arsenal." "James possibly offers much more than Drinkwater or King" "Does Drinkwater ever look forward nowadays? " "Drinkwater is my main concern, he thinks he's Scholes and dictates play spraying the ball around picking it up off the centre backs, when we actually need him to be a driving force." "I'm sorry but Drinky was by far our least effective midfielder, and that is coupled with the same in the last game too. Yes, it is early but the warning signs are there. He needs to be more dynamic and move more. Show him a tape of 2013/14 and tell him to get back to that." but people think things would've been so different had he stayed
