New Series of Taskmaster?

New series should be good, just not sure on Matt Lucas really, surprised they went for him.

Is it just me, but I can never agree remotely with Gregg on rounds where he has to judge them on how they complete a task. He obviously values different facets to me.

Some potentially good people on this series but it's really weak again, just like the last series was as well. I'm starting to think this is done now. Tasks are too weird, the patter is tired. A shame.

Saw my first episode of the current series last week. Was underwhelmed. Thought Matt Lucas deserved minus points for his effort at the Two Photos task.

 

I’ve found enjoyment in previous recent series though. Albeit generally with favourite individual contestants like Matt Baynton and Maisie Adam as opposed to the collective.

It's not as good, but has its moments. 

 

Thought the noughts and crosses one a couple of episodes ago was brilliant.

The balance is off, Richard Ayoade is naturally non-plussed but Matt Lucas has been low-effort too. You can only carry one in a season just as I think only one hyper-competitive contestant works

I thought Ayoade would be good fun but he's probably one of the worst contestants the show has ever had. There's only so much of his disdain for tasks I can take

 

Basically doesn't want to do any task and thay gets boring.

I haven't watched it for years but I never got on with those characters. One of my favourite series was the one Ed Gamble won but David Baddiel was an absolute chore. I don't mind if they're inadvertently shit but genuinely trying, or are attempting to outwit the show - but people who go on and half arse stuff gets tedious fast

Yeah, Russell Howard was one of these CBA types which was a massive surprise as I always felt he got ADHD tinge to his own TV show.
