Regardless off opposition whether considered 'easier' or not first a foremost we need to turn up ourselves, that has been the issue for many games and why we find ourselves in a position where out points advantage has been cut.

Yes your not wrong. We can look at games earlier in the season but I feel we really messed up last week losing to Everton and drawing with Swansea. 4 or 6 points there would of been huge

We need a serious change in our intensity, and performance over the next two games.

If we continue to play like we have recently, we could easily lose both, stoke fighting for survival, and Bournemouth having a mini rival, we need to up our game massively, as both clubs will see us as a realistic chance of 3 points

Agree again yes. Our record against Bournemouth is poor and then Stoke needing points desperately plus West brom the same. However if we have any chance of getting 7th then we need to get 7 points from those games

Matty James, he is dog shit. There we go, we needed a scape goat.

Nothing to do with making him a scape goat.

It's very clear to see that the guy just isn't good enough at this level.

Iborra has obviously done something that's upset Puel (has Puel got a daughter?)...

Because playing James instead of him is completely bonkers and incomprehensible!

I'm not a fan of Matty James, I was being serious. I'm astounded Iborra's been dropped.

I think we should be doing better.

We have an excellent group of players now, yet we seem to play one good half and one bad one.

Weird substitutions constantly, with players playing out of position.

Moving on both Ulloa and Slimani was a bad move cutting options until the end of the season.

Team selections have seen us lose matches. Yesterday second half is one example, losing in the League Cup is another.

The clock is ticking for Puel, I can’t see him inspiring many in the dressing room so I could see it unfolding quite quickly if we lose in the FA Cup. He won’t have the personality to pull the group around.

I’m not defending MJ now as I don’t think he is playing well.

However whilst I see the class Iborra has, he is very inconsistent;

in fact he has been awful in some games; and he can’t get around the pitch.

Was having this convo yesterday in the pub.

After the top 6, the rest are just much of a muchness really AND actually nothing special.

We fall into this bracket, with the Watford’s, the Southampton’s etc. Any of them can beat each other on any given day and all of them can go up and down the table within a few weeks.

We’ve found our natural position now.

Chilwell isn’t helping; not sure I have ever seen a player give the ball to the opponent so many times as he did yesterday in the first half.

Total liability.

With you (again) on this. I think Chilwell again, is just an ok player. Our fans have this habit of massively bigging up players when the reality is they aren’t special.

Chillwell is such an example.

I think we are one of the top teams in the “chasing pack”. Considering where we have been; and our natural position in the top third of the second tier - I am fairly happy with that. If we can become established as a top 10 side, maybe we can build from there!

I know what you are saying mate but just look at the title of this thread. 2 wins in 10.

We are a pretty average side in amongst some pretty average sides.

What would change that would be to spend some proper money..and spend it wisely. The likes of Amartey, James, Musa, Slim etc are nowhere near good enough to make long term in-roads into the top 6

It’s just a rubbish league except for 6 clubs, we’re probably better than most of the others, we are at our level.

We need a new RB and a LB who are first team players and not squad players.

Completely agree with this. In my opinion, that’s been the main priority all season and especially left back.

Need Kasper to up his game,or be dropped, two full backs, and a center back in the Wes mould, who is strong leader, and can help Maguire become the finished article.  A central midfielder who is a leader and can pitch in with 8/ 10 goals a season. Upfront a striker who can play with Vardy and pop up with 10 plus goals min a season. O and a an excellent English tuitor for Claude, so the non French speaking players understand what he wants from them.

I think with Puels more possession based football the balance isn’t right, and I feel the full backs are the problem areas, we just can’t bomb on with Fuchs and Simpson because they don’t have the pace, Chilwell does but can’t be trusted just yet,the gaps between the defence/midfield/ forwards is to far apart.

Shinji is a big player for us because he works hard to join the midfield and help  Vardy out, and that was very evident yesterday.

I would personally push Diabate in the Okazaki role, because I think the lad has a good engine and can mix it up, recall Mahrez and Amartey for Simpson and Chilwell

1 Kasper

2 Amartey

3 Dragovic

4 Mcguire

5 Ndidi

6 Silva

7 Iborra

8 Albrighton

9 Mahrez

10 Diabate

11 Vardy

Would be nice to see this team

I can’t really argue with that. We have a once in a generation opportunity to drive the club forward so that we can dine at the top table of English football for the foreseeable future.

It will always be difficult for the likes of us and Saints though, because the big clubs are never far away, when any of our players reach the level required to play for a top 6 side.

Prior to the Mahrez fiasco I really did feel we had half a chance of challenging For a European place, but I’m much less confident now.

Still, I believe in Puel and I rate many of our players, so you never know.

The next 2 games are very key to the rest of the season for us. Lose or draw to the blades would be a disaster but more importantly the Stoke game is vital. The bottom 12 have all picked up just look at the results: Watford v Chelsea, Swansea recently and now Newcastle. Stoke too look really up for it and we will have to be on it all over the park to get a win. Start like we have done against Man C and second half vs Swansea and we could face another Palace at home situation.

Puel and Appleton will have to get the players focussed, no sloppiness, don’t concede set pieces etc etc.
