He'll definitely become a regular in the match day squad next season if he's not on loan again. He was impressive for Barnsley but they've had an odd season and they weren't a great fit for him unfortunately. 0.57 G+A p90 for Barnsley in the league which is a great figure for a stop start season.

Leicester City Academy graduate Harvey Barnes has been selected as the winner of the Premier League 2 Player of the Month award for March.

- Harvey Barnes wins the Premier League 2 Player of the Month award for March
- The Leicester City play-maker scored twice in the Development Squad's 4-0 win over Liverpool
- Barnes has enjoyed loan spells with MK Dons and Barnsley in the Sky Bet Football League
- Voting is also open for the Club's 2017/18 End of Season Dinner awards

Barnes, 20, continues to impress for the Club's Development Squad and his performances over the past month have helped City to reach the Division 1 summit and the semi-finals of the Premier League Cup.

March started with a 4-0 success over Liverpool at King Power Stadium, including a brace of strikes from Barnes, while the Countesthorpe-based midfielder also featured at Swansea City.

Since making his first team debut against FC Porto in 2016, Barnes has enjoyed two loan spells with MK Dons and Barnsley before also appearing in the Emirates FA Cup this term.

"It's a real honour," he told LCFC TV. "The team has had a great month and a great season, but this month, I feel like my performances have probably improved so it's just good to help the team out.

Get him in the mixer for the rest of the season. Give Albrighton and Okazaki an early summer holiday and let's see Barnes, Diabate and Gray rotating for the LW and Number 10 role for the final games.

Not totally opposed to this. I would like to see him get another couple of appearances with the 1st team before the season is through, even if they are just cameos. Let him know that he's valued and we're looking to the future.

If we lose on Saturday I'd drop him for the rest of the season ...   in fact I'd pay for the taxi to the airport on Sunday ....   ( I know he likes to spend a bit of time there ...   :))

He either needs game time here or a loan to a top championship club, whichever better helps his development. Same with Hamza.

Half a dozen of the U23's will need to go out on loan next season, they are on the cusp & U23 won't work for them next year.
