Guest MattP Posted 25 June 2018 Posted 25 June 2018 Never been in a better position to win a World Cup - now watch what the ICC do to the pitches when they get hold of them next summer to completely screw us over.
Voll Blau Posted 27 June 2018 Author Posted 27 June 2018 Good on the Windies for this... Quote The West Indies are leading a push for radical changes to protect the competitiveness of international cricket, The Daily Telegraph can reveal. A new report by the West Indies advocates money from the International Cricket Council being allocated more equitably between countries, broadcasting rights being pooled, away teams receiving a share of home broadcasting rights for series and major global events being shared between more countries. The proposals are formally on the agenda at the ICC Annual Conference in Dublin, which begins on Thursday. "There has never been more money in the sport," West Indies chief executive Johnny Grave told The Daily Telegraph. https://www.telegraph.co.uk/cricket/2018/06/26/west-indies-lead-calls-protect-small-test-nations-save-future/
Voll Blau Posted 13 July 2018 Author Posted 13 July 2018 ECB have appointed James Taylor as an England selector. Been enjoying his insight as a pundit recently, so hope he does a good job here too.
katieakita Posted 14 July 2018 Posted 14 July 2018 MS Dhoni just played one of his strangest innings, India have almost surrendered on the run chase after looking so good at Trent Bridge

Bert Posted 17 July 2018 Posted 17 July 2018 Great series win against India. Currently the best 50 over side in the world, we are flying. Always nice to beat India especially as their fans are the cricket equivalent to Liverpool.
Guest MattP Posted 19 July 2018 Posted 19 July 2018 Trent Bridge not selected for an Ashes test. Barmy given the amount it swings there and the bowlers we have.
ScouseFox Posted 20 July 2018 Posted 20 July 2018 and they’re giving it a right go at chasing it down tbf
CosbehFox Posted 20 July 2018 Posted 20 July 2018 Some of the crowds tonight totally prove there’s no need for this 100 bollocks. This was the first weekend that England players were available for selection. Why? Because for some silly reason ECB whacked a T20 and one day series on whilst your headline domestic event is underway
Osavo Posted 21 July 2018 Posted 21 July 2018 Last night and tonight show exactly why this 100 ball sh*te should be scrapped. Two cracking games played in front of partisan, packed out crowds full of younger generations too. Why change a formula which seems to be successful? I personally love the Blast, think it's brilliant entertainment.

Corky Posted 22 July 2018 Posted 22 July 2018 Three of the top 16 batsmen in the world, including numbers 3 and 4.
Voll Blau Posted 23 July 2018 Author Posted 23 July 2018 Fair play for pulling that off in a Roses match.

That's quite literally the best hat-trick it is possible to take in county cricket - Root, Williamson and Bairstow in the roses match. Impossible to top that I reckon!
CosbehFox Posted 23 July 2018 Posted 23 July 2018 Glamorgan received £2.5 million from the ECB by not applying for a test match between 2020 and 2024. They are morally corrupt
Corky Posted 23 July 2018 Posted 23 July 2018 We'll have catches from the spectators (should anyone bother turning up) counting as wickets for the fielding side. GET INVOLVED EVERYONE!
