It did make me smile when i saw Palace as 2nd in the opposition table lol

If they could play us every week, they'd walk the league,?

Great work again, very interesting, just noticed an edit required - Stuart Attwell at home vs Newcastle was 1-2 not 1-0.

There are nine worse refs than Bobby Madley, that makes me shudder!

The Crystal Palace stats stand out, in the end there were only a few points between us in the table but you don't expect to come out with 0 points and a 0-8 GD over the two games, not sure if it's quite a bogey team (Bournemouth seem to be year in year out for us) but we struggled against Palace much more than we should have.

Look forward to part 2.

Best refereeing displays all when we've won, what a happy co-incidence!

Beat me to it.

It would be interesting to learn how far down the table you have to go to find the highest ranked ref to oversee a defeat and similarly for the lowest ranked ref to oversee a victory.

Completely missed Kavanagh vs. Brighton being in the bottom 3 ref performances first time round, still it's very much the outlier with the next referee to cover a City win all the way up in 25th.  Unsurprisingly we seem to like refs when we win lol

Worst Opposition Performance : Brighton (H)

  1. 18/08/17 - Leicester City 2-0 Brighton : 3.42

Completely forgot about this game and how utterly useless Brighton were. We were cruising in 3rd gear with Shakespeare at the helm - that's the level Brighton were playing at. I didn't think they would stay up then but fair play to them, they grew in confidence.

Adding the Leicester City team, based on average team performance, would see us finishing in 7th place with an average rating of 5.92

So our average rating for the season, rated by FoxesTalk members, would have us 7th. But if you read this same forum you would think we were hanging on for survival all season.

I always think we tend to underrate opposition sides in the ratings. Kinda, yeah you stuffed us but you were shit anyway attitude.
