It just strikes me as unneccessary bait cutting. Our squad in general is to big without European football. I think it's important to cut the wage bill. Considering his contract runs out next season I can imagine the club want to re coup some money while he's still under contract.
MC Prussian Posted 6 June 2018 Posted 6 June 2018 If he goes to Mexico, it's got to be done asap. Their Apertura starts in late July already. As for him being some sort of "irreplacable" - yes, his link-up play with Vardy was fantastic for most part and he's a great pro, but we've got to move on at some point and Iheanacho has shown he's working well alongside Vardy also. 1
Gerard Posted 6 June 2018 Posted 6 June 2018 I'm happy to sell all four of Okazaki, Slimani, Ulloa and Musa. I suspect we'll be left with at least one of them which means we won't have to buy another striker this summer. If we do sell all four then we still have Vardy and Iheanacho who can play the No9 role and Thomas is now a Welsh international so maybe the time is right for him to get a bigger role in the squad? We also will more than likely have a few options at No10 by the end of the window.

If we were to sell all four this summer, we'd need at least one, if not two new strikers with top-flight experience coming in. In terms of age, Ulloa and Okazaki would be the logical choices, but does the management want to keep a hold of Slimani and Musa?

All four could stop and we'd still need to buy a striker, yesterday's men.

fox_favourite Posted 7 June 2018 Posted 7 June 2018 The day okazaki leaves I will feel the same when Lloyd Dyer left - heartbroken. Both legends but not for obvious reasons. 1 2
wokinghamfox Posted 7 June 2018 Posted 7 June 2018 The most honest and hardworking player ever to wear a city shirt. It wouldnt be the same without our Shinji. Must keep as an impact player at least.
