SouthStandUpperTier Posted 6 June 2018 Posted 6 June 2018 But......but.......who is the mythical Turf Monster going to tackle if Shinji goes?!? 1 3
StanSP Posted 6 June 2018 Posted 6 June 2018 we're only allowed one Japanese player at any given time so signing that Sakai guy means we have to offload Shinji.
martyn Posted 6 June 2018 Posted 6 June 2018 Keisuke Honda is/was at Pachuca, so may be a reason for it.
Stevosevic Posted 6 June 2018 Posted 6 June 2018 1 year left on his deal. Makes sense, it's probably time
Callabinho Posted 6 June 2018 Posted 6 June 2018 No, he is not leaving.... I will not allow it.... he stays forever..... 2 1

It’s not a poor website. They collect rumours from the foreign press and present them as such. Do a decent job 1
Blue ROI Posted 6 June 2018 Posted 6 June 2018 He's faded under Claude really.Wouldn't be surprised if there was something to it. For a £7 million signing he's been on the money for us and then some.
Webbo Posted 6 June 2018 Posted 6 June 2018 Don't really think you can blame a website for publishing an article from a newspaper, especially as it's a foreign one that most of us wouldn't see.
UPinCarolina Posted 6 June 2018 Posted 6 June 2018 Let him go on a free transfer. He’s not finished offering us something. One more year of Shinjitzu please.

Fair enough, just didn’t want to see this moved into the rumours section

lcfc sheff Posted 6 June 2018 Posted 6 June 2018 We've got our moneys worth out of him and Ulloa, time to sell.
StriderHiryu Posted 6 June 2018 Posted 6 June 2018 I think Shinji should stay another year. His endless energy is too valuable to have, and even if he is more of a squad player / substitute this season, it would be good to have him especially if Riyad leaves. He always seems to have an impact when he's brought on and that is invaluable. If he wants first team football every week, then fair enough but I think it should be his decision to go. He is a fans favourite player for a reason!

CarbonVirtine Posted 6 June 2018 Posted 6 June 2018 Love him to bits but I could understand if he wants away. I think he's not part of our new era and I suspect he knows that. He could have even been told that, out of respect. I'd wish him well. He's been pivotal in our successes. A much loved player that will be forever remembered for his part in our dream.

Sucks to see him go though. My problem with letting him go is that we’re already striker poor, we know he can play with Vardy, and we’ve seen him play well under Puel’s direction. It just strikes me as unneccessary bait cutting.
