Thought it would be interesting to see what effect films and TV have on people.

For me, since watching Final Destination 2 I try my hardest not to drive behind trucks carrying logs.

Nerver forgot an episode of that 999 programme which that Michael Burke presented in which one of them Milk lorries drove around a corner and the damn tanker part rolled right off on to some poor sods car.....even to this day I lean against the drivers side door when passing one.

I remember the 999 episode about the guy who stuck a pool cue through his neck. Still think about it every time I'm playing.

That programme has a lot to answer for. I saw one where a lad does a wheelie off a kerb and his front wheel falls off. He then goes over the handlebars and the bottom of his forks stick in the back of his head!

I used to have to take the front wheel off of my mountain bike to get it in my car and I'd think of it at the start of each ride.

Terrifying programme for sure. I loved Burke's creepy openings.

Don't particularly associate these things with Wigan at the best of times.

Actually, that programme made me start doing something good - I've always carried a fire extinguisher in my cars after seeing an episode where there was a woman trapped in a car that was on fire, and in the massive queue of cars next to it, nobody had one

I knew a guy who was on it. He fell into a river when he was about 5 and was rescued after his mate asked for help. I asked him how realistic the 999 experience was, he said he was actually pushed in by his mate but they kept it to themselves as the mate was already in trouble with the police despite only being 6 ffs. He was fine afterwards but what a bellend his mate was lol
