enormous respect for Albrighton, he worked as hard as always... and if you havent watched it, watch his run for his goal.. absolutely motored. Underated player IMO

Compare that effort with Ricardo for the first goal and it's embarrassing.

Ricardo can't defend. First goal against Liverpool! Despite the crap he gets on here Simpson is a far superior fullback. If he had been playing we wouldn't have conceded four goals. In the previous season I lost count of the number of times he got across to rescue poor marking by Morgan, Huth and even Chilwell. Before people say he doesn't get forward enough, the first priority for a fullback should be to defend. Rushing forward down the wing leaves the centrebacks exposed, especially when they are as slow as ours are.

That’s just not true, every time he has anything other than a good game there’s a raft of people on here saying “told you he wasn’t a good defender”.

Its like when people say “if Messi had done that you’d never hear the end of it”. You never hear the end of it because Messi does it all the time. People poke holes in Morgan’s performance more frequently than Maguire’s because he’s more regularly deserving of that criticism.

Maguire had a poor game yesterday and he wasn’t great against Liverpool. He was perfectly fine against United and Wolves and outstanding against Southampton even before his goal. Some are using yesterday to claim hes been poor all season for goodness sake.

Overreactions everywhere since yesterday’s game.

Maguire had a poor game yesterday and everyone has called it - but for some that is not enough, we now have to try and claim that a fantastic player is overrated. I don’t get it.

we also have a top class player in Perriera - one who has to work on his defending. We can’t just leave it at that though - we have to pine for Danny Simpson - a club legend, but a player who will offer next to nothing going forward. If we want to move on we have to believe in players who play adventurously or we will be stuck playing the backs to the wall football we saw under Shaky.

The problem with the likes of Ricardo is we do nothing to compensate for his shortcomings. Our system is just far too easy to get at.

We're 5 games into the season - with a lot of changes.

surprised that Kasper has such high (comparative) marks. Thought he had a really poor game.

He was absolute rubbish yesterday, coming off his line into no man's land. He never waits to see where the penalty is going, always diving too early making it easier for the taker.

Having said that you have to credit the quality of their goals, especially the first goal.

Agreed, and the fact that even as late as half-time, three goals down and both centre-backs booked - Puel took no real action to counter the threat, or mitigate the danger.

Ive never seen a manager consistently demonstrate their inability to impact a game when it’s not going to plan.

It has only been Ranieri (in the 1st season) who has been able to do this in recent years (including Pearson in this)

Maddison MOTM by a country mile, Morgan & Maguire awful but they get pulled all over the place covering the 2 marauding (non defensive) full backs, no creativity from the 2 central midfielders, Vardy is isolated on his own. Time to play 3-5-2 and loan Gray out as he is nowhere near good enough for the Premier League and we keep giving him chance after chance but leave the hard working Albrighton on the bench every week.

The Ref was absolutely awful and so wrong for their penalty, starting to think Puels time is nearly up....
