Incidentally, you forgot to mention Everton away too. However you said this... 20 hours ago, Bunyip said: You've obviously not been watching the crap the rest of us have this lately then? Take the cotton wool out of your ears and listen to the boos and have a reality check.

l444ry Posted 17 January 2019 Posted 17 January 2019 Probably be a lot easier staying interested if you're sat at home in an armchair, less so if you have a season ticket.

And so "lately", your statement about the "crap" that the "rest of us have been watching" is as much an assumption as it is true.

They played great football against Chelsea and both times against Man City at home. There were some encouraging individual performances against Southampton too. So your statement that "lately" the football has been "crap" ... is complete crap.

There were some encouraging individual performances against Saints too.

I've already said there have been some good games and results, but they are far outweighed by the total negative boring crap we have had to suffer at home for most of the season. I'm sure even relegated sides can point to at least three or more great results in a season, but that doesn't represent the whole does it?

Throughout the entire season, on balance I do tend to agree with you, but to remind you again, that is not what your post said... It was a very convincing performance against Chelsea, in terms of both players and from a managerial perspective - the first win at the Bridge in 18 years. We were also very good in both home ties against Man City and there were some promising individual performances against Southampton.

It's not. I had the camaraderie of my mates and beer with my season ticket. And we were much worse then than now. On the upside, if interest continues to dwindle I'll be able to get a session ticket again when we move back to Leicester.

Depends on what your or even my idea is of " this lately " the Chelsea and Man City games don't fall into the category of " this lately" more like the last three to four games qualifies as " this lately ".

Understand your point but was referring to the inexplicable defence of Puel's football. This article sums it up perfectly. https://www.theguardian.com/football/2019/jan/18/claude-puel-leicester-premier-league?CMP=share_btn_tw

Right - got there eventually. So really, you mean so far this year. Everton away - (New Year fixtures often being dour affairs). Newport in the cup, for which the manager made seven changes, and Southampton; who many feel were given far too much in the way of respect, but in spite of the mistakes, we did at least see some promising individual performances.

Yeah and " this lately" this afternoon, oh and you missed out Cardiff. Have you got your turd polishing kit handy?

Tuna Posted 19 January 2019 Posted 19 January 2019 I'd be delighted to get to 45 points as soon as possible.
