Yeah and " this lately" this afternoon, oh and you missed out Cardiff. Have you got your turd polishing kit handy?

Yes...but perplexingly it's not working that well on your posts I'm afraid.

I see a minimum of 15 points from the remaining games - that will put us at 45 :)

Man U (W)

Liverpool (W)

Tottenham (W)

Man City (W)

Chelsea (W)

And Palace will do the double over us. The Leicester way :scarf:

If you are perplexed how do you know?  Anyway yesterdays result hopefully put paid to you polishing, I'm afraid that is the only thing not working.

No one will ever be good enough for this fanbase anymore. Winning the league has killed us.

Exactly. Some fans fail to realise that we've also won a load of points that we weren't expected to win, as well as throwing some away. As Bill Parcels, the American Football coach, once said, "You are what your record says you are.". We are very inconsistent, and on the whole, quite average. Anyone who thinks we should be top six is being unrealistic.

Because I'm uncertain as to why.

Shocking at the back. Some very encouraging signs coming forward - somewhat negated by the fact that Wolves defence isn't much better than ours. Reminded me of the Spurs fixture in May last year when even Nacho scored.

Well if you understand football at all you would realise we were shocking at the back because of the formation thought up by Puel, which every time we went forward we left the defence completely uncovered with too many players upfield and unable to get back quick enough. Sorry, but I saw nothing yesterday encouraging at all. Let's see how " encouraged " you are after the next three matches.

I'm not sure about that Bunyip. We have used that formation for most of the season and have a very good defensive record.

Was Saturday not a bit of an anomaly down to a catalogue of individual errors?  We seem to concede a lot of goals sheerly down to silly mistakes of individual players

Well in how many games have we played Simpson? as I said before if you persist in having all your players bombing up the pitch leaving your defence exposed time and time again it's a bad tactic and it came from Puel.

Surely Simpson is more the antithesis of bombing up the pitch?

How many 'assists' have we clocked up for goals scored against us?    Quite a few I imagine.

That would depend entirely upon the performances. We certainly have some difficult matches ahead.

Ok, go on have the last word. It's been interesting debating with you Line-x  but it's past it's sell-by date. Take care and up the city !  :scarf:

He was until Puel told him to do otherwise.

Lol Arsenal and Man Utd dont even have them yet.

No comparison. At least with both on 44 points they will achieve that easily.

There is a comparison as you said we should be at 45 points now and im saying that those teams arn't at 45 yet. Yes they will most likely achieve that, due to the amount of games left. However there is nothing to say we wont either.

Wonder how many more points we would have had with Mahrez... All things considered the points total is not too bad it's just the way we are playing.

He would have only shown up for the games in which we got points.

Would it be an idea for us to really try out some of our development squad in the first team? I know there are rules that govern this type of thing but if they're there on merit and we don't take the p** too much then surely now is a better time than ever.

Now we're out of all cup competitions and we have little to play for, surely unlocking a gem that might be staring us in right in the face could save us millions in the summer. It might also get the fans excited and build a more supportive atmosphere at home games again.

I think to be successful under Puel doesn't always come from pure talent it seems, it's more an understanding of his system, philosophy and being young and malleable that could be the key.

45 points was a big assumption Collymore my friend.
