Mark 'expert' Lawrenson Posted 1 June 2019 Posted 1 June 2019 Apologies in advance for starting a topic for what purely is a selfish question! Im going to buy my Dad either Fearless or the 5000-1 book for Father’s Day for those that have read them which one would you recommend? Thanks in advance
Guest Electric Yetis Posted 1 June 2019 Posted 1 June 2019 If he hasn't read it, The Unbelievables is the best one in my opinion.

davieG Posted 1 June 2019 Posted 1 June 2019 Out of those two Fearless, I got bored with Tanners and didn't finish it although I had read the others first. If i remember correctly and it wasn't very memorable it was mostly his match reports intermingled with a few interviews. As pds says The Unbelievables is a good read match by match perspective from a fan attending every single match.
Woodsey1727 Posted 1 June 2019 Posted 1 June 2019 The 5000-1 was a really good read, or there is the foxes and fossils book which is worth the money as well

SpacedX Posted 1 June 2019 Posted 1 June 2019 Open an account for him on Foxes Talk. It's very objective and accurate.

ealingfox Posted 1 June 2019 Posted 1 June 2019 Tanner's one must be going cheap by now surely? Definitely Fearless if you're only getting one though.
TheUltimateWinner Posted 1 June 2019 Posted 1 June 2019 Got tanners for like a quid off music magpie, it was a good read actually. Took me a few days by the pool to finish.
Mark 'expert' Lawrenson Posted 2 June 2019 Author Posted 2 June 2019 Went for Fearless and King Power, Leicester’s remarkable season as a cheap extra, thanks for the replies ??
mozartfox Posted 2 June 2019 Posted 2 June 2019 I can recommend Chris Sutton‘s biography - ‘If Carlsberg made Bell-ends’ Great book if have a sleeping disorder.
Mint23 Posted 3 June 2019 Posted 3 June 2019 If you’re looking for something a little different try “What if - an alternative history of Leicester City”. It’s written by a mate of mine and is full of different alternatives such as what if the club hadn’t been saved from administration, what if Gary Lineker hadn’t signed for us, what if Knockaert has scored that penalty on Deeney day. It’s a good read and a bit of fun.
boots60 Posted 3 June 2019 Posted 3 June 2019 Another alternative is Fox tales, stories about following Leicester City by fans of all ages & locations from the 50's to present. Good selection of happy, sad, personal tales, travelogues & a touch of hooligan culture thrown in.
What the Fuchs? Posted 4 June 2019 Posted 4 June 2019 @Mark 'expert' Lawrenson I think you may have the best username on FoxesTalk ? My Dad’s a Norwich fan so I’ll tell him we won’t sign their star player this transfer window for Fathers Day
