Loan watch 2019-20

Recommended Posts

Loft, Iversen and Ndukwu could see more league cup action. Only Loft featured tonight though and didn't make the three goal scoresheet. Knight's Peterborough conceded a late free kick against Elliot Moore's Oxford United however, so Josh'll be seeing no more league cup action.

Is Josh playing DM? From what I can tell he is. I can see him being loaned for a long, long time with Ndidi, Hamza, Praet and Mendy in front of him. Probably have better luck reverting to CB.

Ndukwu was again an unused sub, this time in Southend's trashing by Lincoln.

Looks more like a straight CM roll from this, but I haven’t actually seen the game.

I saw some tweet saying he was at the bottom of a midfield diamond. Where's that screenshot from?

Edit: I see you can get them on flashscore https://www.flashscore.com/match/QRskjVdh/#match-summary

So we've moved him from CB to DM to the right of a midfield diamond (at least flashscore claims the right...).

With Morgan retiring I still think he'd have a better chance at CB. We'll only have Evans, Soy and Benk.

That’s from Live Score app. Not sure how accurate it is at this level, but the PL and European game it is usually pretty accurate

I hope we loan Knight to a championship club over Christmas so I can watch him play. He was the most exciting player in the last academy batch. A good defender and fast. We seemingly haven't decided on his best position yet.

Layton Ndukwe saw seventeen minutes of league one action where he managed to win a free kick as he took part in Southend's rather robust habit of losing football matches without scoring goals. Ryan Loft successfully fouled two football players in league two before being replaced at half time in a 45 minutes where he and the opposite football net were tragically estranged. Josh Knight, playing in defensive midfield this match, played 90 minutes in league one where his football team won a football match without conceding a single goal. Someone on Twitter was nice about Knight and that's nice. Iversen is presumably playing at some other point in time. His game was cancelled.

If anyone fancies a laugh, just head over to the Carlisle forum and look at how much they hate Loft already

What part of the forum were you reading?

There's a few comments saying he wasn't great. But the majority are saying the tactics are wrong and they need to be winning balls that Loft is winning.

I just searched his name and relevant comments come up, one poster rated his performance against Cheltenham as a 1/10
