AS Monaco Loan For Striker Islam Slimani
Leicester City striker Islam Slimani will spend the 2019/20 campaign on loan with Ligue 1 side AS Monaco after a season-long loan deal was agreed between the two clubs.
 Islam Slimani
- Striker Islam Slimani joins AS Monaco on loan until the end of the season
- The 31-year-old Algerian international signed for Leicester City from Sporting Lisbon in 2016
- Slimani has made 46 City appearances and scored 13 goals since his arrival
- He spent last season on loan with Fenerbahçe in Turkey

The 31-year-old Algeria international has been with the Foxes since 2016, scoring 13 times in 46 games, as well as completing loan spells at Newcastle United and Fenerbahçe during that time.

He appeared 25 times for the Yellow Canaries last term before going on to help Algeria lift the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations title in the summer.

Slimani joined Leicester City from Portuguese side Sporting Lisbon in 2016, where he scored more than 50 goals in just over three seasons, while also netting twice for Algeria at the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.

He will now link up with AS Monaco and could make his debut for the Ligue 1 outfit at home to Nimes on Sunday afternoon.

Good luck Islam Slimani! So Monaco took Slim but not Silva on loan? Bizarre.

Not sure what Knight'll do after his loan.  He's not playing at centre half anymore and played in defensive midfield last match so he'll return to be our third choice DM? Claude Puel would weep tears of joy having three young defensive midfielders at this disposal.

Adrien might not have wanted to go on loan, his agent seemed pretty pissed that we'd apparently offered him as part of the Youri transfer before we settled on €40m

Peterborough won and Knight played 66 minutes in at, if flashscore is correct and not drunk, number 10. Ndukwu played an unheard of 30 minutes of league one football in Southend's surprisingly close loss in which he found his shot blocked at the 70 minute mark. Loft played 20 minutes in league two and the BBC's live text found nothing to note about his involvement.

Slimani & Adrien Silva start for Monaco today, game is on BT Sport 3 at 2pm for anyone interested

About 50 million worth of talent there! More than the combined cost of last match's back four, dm, striker and goal scoring winger.

Alright, Islam! Happy for you, get extra confidence and now bag in about ten or fifteen more and let Monaco have you so we can close that chapter once and for all.

Monaco currently drawing with Nîmes after being 2-0 up, Emerson saw a red card in the 55th and it's gone downhill for the hosts ever since.

Didn't know Monaco could get their hands on Wissam Ben Yedder. :o

Layton was, incidentally, subbed on for 22 minutes, made no impact in the live text, and then Southend conceded two goals losing the match an impressive 4 - 1. Loft sat on the bench and enthusiastically cheered on his team to a crushing 2 - 1 defeat at the hands of Rochdale. Knight was courteous enough to have left the competition in the previous round. And Iversen teased Rotherham terrifically by waiting until the 96th minute to concede his first and only goal of the match sending Sheffield Wednesday speeding to the next round of the cup.
