The whole world smiles Posted 30 April 2020 Posted 30 April 2020 Without wishing to jump the gun, It's looking increasingly likely that this season is over and even if they do somehow manage to restart it won't be the same. This is a massive shame as this current team will probably never fully get the credit it deserves (in a footballing sense obviously there is more tragic things going on at the moment!). We dispatched arsenal and spurs, outplayed Chelsea twice, stuck 8 past villa and Newcastle home and away, equalled the premier league record with the Southampton game. We had the best defensive record for months and Spent large chunks of the season in 2nd above a Man City side that has regularly been labled the greatest in premier league history. We were absolutely nailed on for champions League qualification (which I think we will still get) and very close to an fa cup final. I know we won the league in the last few years but this side has played by far the best football I've ever had the pleasure witnessing down city. Everybody connected with the football club deserves a huge amount of credit for what has been arguably the 2nd best season in our 136 year history.

We were a class above and should have had 7/8.
