I feel as bad now as I did about anything I can remember, except relegation at Stoke.

I’m not sure if the football has hit me for six or i have corona virus. Can you catch covid from football disappointment?

It was really bad yesterday but It's been coming though hasn't it,  we haven't been great in all of 2020, there have been flashes but by and large we have relied on those around us being equally poor.

Man Utd have got their act together and we have just continued to flounder.

Let’s be honest we’ve been waiting for something like this to happen ever since the restart. Just been lucky we’ve come up against teams who are just as terrible.

Rodgers did what most managers would do, try to protect a lead. Schmeichel's dodgy clearance by trying to skim the ball into midfield was what screwed us up. Once that happened, their tails were up and the entire momentum of the game switched to them. I've never seen a goal keeper give the ball away so much in my life. It's either kick it to an oppo player, or put it out for a throw in because the guy playing on the wing has no chance of controlling it. Even his short throws have you sitting nervously on the edge of the seat.

Some of you lot didn't watch us relegated to league one

And it shows.

That was the culmination of years of awful, turgid football though. We could all see it coming. It was like watching a family member slowly wither and die from cancer.

Last night was a totally different feeling.

It's not the worst two minutes in our history, but it is the most rage-inducing two minutes in our history.

We've arguably never had a more talented squad on paper and for them to do that against a team whose lack of quality I was literally laughing out loud at in the first half is unforgivable. Unexpected defeats happen in football, but that was well beyond the pale.

Yes, I was proud that day too. I knew it was a beginning rather than an end.

I'm not so confident right now!

I think we all knew that day, that the only way was up. Even with the pain of relegation, there was no way we could sink any lower. It feels like the complete opposite now

The biggest problem I have is the fact we once again (like so many games this season) were incapable (lack of brains/quality) to finish the job. It should have been 2/3-0 easily by the time Kasper smashed that ball at Ndidi. We would never be talking about this if that was the case. The same goes for the failure against Villa, we played really well but couldn't finish our dinner. Chelsea in the FA Cup, should have been 2/3-0 by HT, job done, again, inability to finish the job. It is something we need to lose if we want to be competitive.

I turned the game off at 3-1. I’ve never done that before and I’m not even ashamed to say I did it yesterday.

The Brighton game was so bad it actually gave me a headache watching it.

It sucked, however it is why I don't particulary like keepers as Captain. He was annoyed at himself, frustrated, etc, the team were irritated. They needed a strong head to clear their minds, refocus and go again. At that stage, it was like starting the game again, and the guy who just made the mistake wasn't the person to do it. Can you imagine Roy Keane letting everyone's head go like that on the restart? Anyway, I think it might be a catalyst to pull the finger out personally, but maybe that is wishful thinking...….. :/

I think Keane was captain when they got hammered 5-0 or whatever it was by Chelsea. You could equally argue that Kasper has been one of the few to demonstrate true leadership recently. Even after yesterday's debacle, we saw this when he was straight out last night to hold his hands up.

It's not as if there are clear alternatives. Some had previously suggested Evans, but having seen the way his head dropped and his game fell apart yesterday, I wouldn't be so eager.

Who is or isn't captain seems like one of the less urgent crises to address at the moment. I remember people pointing the finger at Elliott and Morgan in the past when things went wrong, and it always seemed a distraction from how crap we were as a whole, or how badly things had gone wrong for the incumbent manager.
