Stoke away, 4th May 2008 was the worst 2 minutes for this club.

There were other points as well that class as a more worrying time for this club - like when it was conceivable it would go out of existence.

Yes tonight will feel raw. A lot of stick will come our way from fans of other clubs. And it’s natural to feel embarrassed by a performance like that.

But we do need to try and maintain a sense of perspective - we’ve been truly spoiled in terms of footballing success over the last 10 years, the club has come on in leaps and bounds and still has a fantastic future regardless of what happens over the next three games and even next season.

Yes - there is understandably a lot of anger and frustration on these boards, but just pause for reflection and consider the age old truth that sometimes a monumental setback can make a team stronger in the long run.

See the post directly above yours. That's how I feel. What a massive opportunity we've potentially blown.

If TOP is not back in the UK he needs to get back and sort this fcuking mess out, who keeps giving the dead wood new contracts, get rid and spend money on players that are going to play for the shirt, not lIke some of this lot.

Even a clown can see that Vardy can not be expected to do it all on his own every year.

I cannot think of a worst 2 mins I’ve ever seen.

You CANNOT go from in complete control vs a team who were SO bad , that they looked like one of the worst teams in Premier League History to being 4-1 down with 10 men.

- one of the worst strikers in premier league history scoring 2 against us.

- one of the worst teams in history with a record of 1 draw 15 losses if losing at ht come back and win 4-1!

Its absolutely disgusting. Im lost for words.

The whole team and manager should donate a months wages each to share between charities, fans etc because that is the most shambolic, pathetic, unprofessional, ridiculous half of football I’ve EVER witnessed since I’ve started regularly following us every game since 2002.

**** off Leicester!

I’ve never ever said this before but I honestly think what’s the point anymore.

What’s the point of following every single game, working out everything and the situation and getting prepared for weeks and weeks and spending £100s on tickets all to throw away an entire season, maybe an entire decade of progress in 2 mins.

Im absolutely stunned. I’m not being over dramatic when I say this but I can hand on heart say, I’m more angry and fuming now than when we got relegated to league 1.

This is the worst day in our history(certainly since I’ve been following in 2002). Never been so angry!

We'll all be doing it again come Thursday. It's a drug.

Honestly? I’ve supported us for nearly as long and in that circumstance have we? We can’t have.

No probably not. I just always try to look on the bright side of everything lol

Worse 2 mins?! How about the Watford Troy deeney goal in the playoffs

Honestly this is on par for me.

Even in that moment I was proud despite being gutted.

That was unforgivable

It's about levels though. Losing to Watford was one thing, but just remember we were underdogs going in to that tie and even id defeat we knew there was more to come. Missing out on a CL place when so few teams break into that elite group feels much worse.

Let's have a poll

Today

Watford 2014

Div 1 relegation

6-1 v Portsmouth

5-1 v Forest

I actually think today was the worst, because of how we collapsed. Deeney day was one unfortunate moment but we played well the whole game. Today was how to lose a game in 25 mins, that we were in total control of and get hammered.

I know we joke about Spurs, but they were leading for about 7 minutes, yet they were blasted as bottlers on here and still are.

We were FIFTEEN points clear and we've blown it. WE are the bottlers.

Bottlers implies ability let down by mentality. Where’s the ability?

In order to get up there we must have a decent amount of ability, I mean we probably aren't a top 4 first 11. With 42 points left to play for, with a 15 point headstart, we should be finishing in the top 4, there's no two ways about it.

Honestly, I was having the very same thought: "Two minutes that reversed the trajectory of England's rising football club."

But seeing it overdramatized like that, well, you may have started me on the road to recovery.  It's footy, not life.  Yes, the club still has a future.  Which none of us, from the happy clappers to the massively negative, can foresee.

Sure, I expect them to drop the last three games.  But you take the bad with the good, and I imagine I'll watch Thursday because ... well, let's see what Brendan makes of his acid test.  Sometimes they do surprise us for the better.  But mostly because, for whatever reason, this became my club and I do give a damn ...

Great post!

its okay for it to hurt right now, but the club continues to grow, and what will be will be.

I suppose this was what we were scared off when we won the Premier League - performances and throwing in the towel

like this.

Glad it didn’t happen in 2016 and we are grateful for that.

Off to watch the highlights of when Mahrez scored the winner against Watford Away.

Goodnight.

I've never felt so empty with a performance since that Watford play off game. At least then I was proud of the players and the manager, tonight I feel embarrassed.

Genuinely at full time felt like we'd been relegated. It was unbelievable.

Yes, I was proud that day too. I knew it was a beginning rather than an end.

I'm not so confident right now!
