Hi all I’m looking for some wireless headphones. I mainly use apple products are air pods the best bet?

No idea on Apple but i spent about 60 quid on a pair of Huawei ones and they are brilliant. Noise cancelling, great sound quality and decent battery life.

Are they buds or full on headphones?

Air pods are great if you have an iPhone and aren’t an audio snob, I can’t fault mine. I bought my girlfriend some “Nothing Ear 1s” for Christmas and was very impressed for the money. Look cool as fvck and have lots of the features you’d expect from much pricier 1s, might end up getting a pair myself when I need some new 1s

Buy HUAWEI FreeBuds 4 - Headphones - HUAWEI UK

I got the FreeBuds 3 looks like the new ones are now out... but for £99 you cant go wrong. The pro ones are about £10 more and i think the battery life is better on them ones.

plus looks like they are giving you a free wireless speaker as well.

Think it’ll be a toss up between these 2. It would be the 2nd gen air pods though. I’m thinking they might have the edge just because I have ani phone and can use the Siri features etc.

Audio reviews, unless it’s something professional, like What HiFi (although many audiophiles might disagree with them), are generally fairly pointless in terms of audio quality - what is amazing to one person is awful to another.

AirPods work very well with Apple devices, but if you’re purely interested in sound quality then you can get better for the money.

I personally think AirPods are hard to beat as an every day all rounder, as they work well and are very easy to live with, especially if you use a lot of the Apple ecosystem.

Listening to music will be compromised every step of the way by the convenience required.

Ear pods using a wireless signal transport and a digital source will have lost a lot of the original information.

In the end you are at the mercy of the quality of the DAC (digital to analog converter) in the earphones.

Read the reviews and don't buy cheap. 'No-one is ever sorry for buying the best'

I think I will get them as I have some vouchers for Argos and they sell them.

Just after people's opinion need to look at getting new headphones really. I currently have Skullcandy crusher, I'm thinking of getting the Bose QuietComfort. Just wondered if anyone had tried these and what their thoughts were? Or any other recommendations?

You rate Bose highly then? Cheapest I've found is about 180 at the minute.

Yeah…. The best I’ve had…. I have to travel with work periodically, so they’re on my lugs for long periods and remain comfortable, sound great and block out noises well…. I like the discreet design too (not too showy)

they were £122 direct from Bose recently…. I got mine for £140

If you can get a blue light discount from someone…. There is a deal on HUKD currently for £141

I did see that and frustratingly I need them for next week and current ship time is 1-2 weeks unfortunately! I can't believe they charge an extra 100 quid basically because of the type of case you have? Surely if you look after your headphones the case should be fine even if it's a soft case?

I have mine in a small Eastpak bag along with passport, kindle, charging cables etc…. The hard case would be too bulky if you ask me

Bose shipped pretty quickly, but if you need it, you need it…. Restricts you a bit about where it comes from

I'm sure I've got a dust bag spare somewhere that I could put them in for like extra protection. I'm looking forward to getting them I think they should be here tomorrow. I'll let you know what I think and thank you for giving me your thoughts on them.
