Or Prince of Punjab.

We'll blame @Dr The Singh for this.

I'm an England fan, and would never ask any restaurant to give a bad meal.  However CTP comes across like the type of guy that would hit on my girlfriend if I had one.....

Crazy stat on TMS. When Burns reaches 1, he averages 50, but his vast amount of 0s drag him down.

That's mad 🤣

So, so pleased for Hameed.

Good of Hampshire to ruin a top day's cricket by batting like planks against Notts right now though...

Although....

Notts are easily the stupidest team in cricket.

Mad ennit. On paper their strongest XI would give some IPL sides a good game. And yet... lol

They didn’t have to hit a six to win that. Mindless decision making, each man got themselves out. I’d say I don’t know how Tom Moores gets in that team but we all know why he does.

What's the thoughts for today then? England to bat all day probably? Definitely have it within them to do so after Burns/Hameed's foundations.

Gonna be a tough and long day in the field for India.

Cloudy and muggy here (I’m about 7 miles away) this morning, so might not have it all our own way today - although by the time the new ball is due it should have brightened up a lot which will hopefully negate a bit of the movement. Hopefully one of or both openers can get a ton, that would be excellent.

Both looked good for a ton actually. So comfortable and settled and think it'd take something silly for them to disrupt that.

Got the feeling when Root gets in he'll be happily batting on home turf. Gonna be a difficult one to rescue for us.

Bat, Bat and Bat. Not just for the match but for the confidence of the batting line up, some players could do with a good score Malan, Bairstow n Buttler. I'd love to see something like 410-7 at close about 330ish ahead. Then Ali n Root can spin to win on day 4 and into day 5.

Huge first session, even with the match situation. Kohli will have his players up for a massive push this morning, if not, the match will slip away from India quickly. Kohli won't go down without a fight though, I like that about him. You imagine there'll be some movement for the first couple of hours, so it won't be a cakewalk. Get to lunch, no more than 2 down maximum and should be able to truly capitalise in the afternoon session.

It would be a magnificent story if Hameed could find his way to a century.

Looking forward to todays play.

Test cricket smashes these other formats imo

I'm really surprised India have opened with Ishant, maybe that's just hindsight as he's been off again so far this morning. I really expected Siraj though, and a lot of chatter. It's been an unusually sedate start from India. Still 4 days left, right enough.
