Tomassi Posted 10 November 2005 Posted 10 November 2005 I currently have a Nissan Micra which i've been driving around in for nearly 3 years.. and as such i've got bored of the little thing.. I'm going to get a new car in 6-9 months time and my budget is £3,000 - £6,000 though i would go slighty higher if needed. I want a car thats nippy, but looks class and doesnt break down loads. Ford Focus looks good but Fords fall apart so.. Any Ideas?
Muz Posted 10 November 2005 Posted 10 November 2005 Peugeot 206 Get one of those!! I have'nt got a car but when I do get one I want this.
Jon the Hat Posted 10 November 2005 Posted 10 November 2005 I've had two Ford Focus' and had no problems at all with either of them. £5-6K will get you a smart one. Go for a Ghia or Zetec, at least 1.6 litre.

Top end of your market you should check out the MG TF convertible cool as for the price. You could probably get a 4 or 5 year old one for the 6K. Always make sure it has a FSH.
The People's Hero Posted 10 November 2005 Posted 10 November 2005 Nowt wrong with Fords in the reliability/build quality stakes surely?
shen Posted 10 November 2005 Posted 10 November 2005 Peugeot 206 Get one of those!! I have'nt got a car but when I do get one I want this. Ewww... Peugeot 206 is nice, but that one has been seriously uglified!! I'd pick a Golf if I were you Tomassi...most reliable engine around...
Mark Posted 10 November 2005 Posted 10 November 2005 No it isn't mine, but it's available for £4,100 Or get a new one. Mini Coopers are GREAT.
The People's Hero Posted 10 November 2005 Posted 10 November 2005 I'd quite like a 2 litre Fiesta ST. Having said that, they cost a fair bit (and for that money u may as well get something decent) and the insurance would be about 9million pounds.

shen Posted 10 November 2005 Posted 10 November 2005 Audi TT - and its a beast! My dad had one for a few years, and what a beauty it was. Such a classy car! It's one of those cars that you just want to drive all day for the sake of driving
stez Posted 10 November 2005 Posted 10 November 2005 The Deathside mobile.... i notice a dent just above the bumper; has katy driven it p'chance? anyway tom, fords = no way! vauxhalls are good, astras are nice or like shen said; go for a golf (or any vw) they hold their value and wont cost 9 million quid in insurance
Matt Posted 10 November 2005 Posted 10 November 2005 Micra Evil Horrible cars! You want a nice VW Golf  And you could easily pick up a decent, not too old 2nd hand Golf for less than £6,000!

It was those Polish fellas who couldnt drive, whatcha blaming me for? I have a ford sierra - maroon 5 in colour. Dunno bout cars Tom but I learnt to drive in a Micra - bit weird to drive if you ask me. Fords are cool and have fantastic speakers. Im sure all this conflicting advice is not helping you much though

cisono Posted 10 November 2005 Posted 10 November 2005 I have a red Vauxhall Cavalier 2.0 SRI. You should get "KITT" And... if you have trouble getting hold of one, you should consider making your own, as illustrated here: KnightReplicas.com And you could play the theme music: http://www.knightreplicas.com/Knight_Rider_Intro.asf
Thracian Posted 10 November 2005 Posted 10 November 2005 I drive nothing of note just now but I did own a Daimler Majestic Major hearse at one time. Bought it from a boot sale at Long Marston with the idea of running a business called Dead Loss Antiques.
