Still don't get why people want/wanted Potter here.

He's improved virtually every player at Brighton. Not his fault they didn't win comfortably tonight. They controlled the whole game against a team who outplayed us a couple of weeks ago - but missed some easy chances.

Spot on don’t know how I could’ve made a more obvious Harry Potter joke but I’ll send Stan a pm next time I make a joke to explain

They missed an open goal not sure what potter could’ve done

Personally I don’t want Rodger’s sacked but if he did I wouldn’t be adverse to Potter coming here and working his magic

That magic being no win in 8 and finishing dizzy heights of 15th with Brighton.

Oh ffs it was a joke. Man this forum

Brighton are not the flashiest of teams by any means, but they get results and are doing way better than I thought they would. Several teams are this season imo.

Potter’s magic can easily be obscured by his shtick of moping around on the touch line looking like a geography supply teacher who has just found out his contract isn’t being renewed

Fair play. In my defence drinking and not having any interest in Harry Potter doesn’t help me. But……calm down.

Rodgers has improved players too?

It's not his fault they didn't win, but you can guarantee if Rodgers had the same result (dominated, didn't win, miss chances etc) he'd get stick and it'd be his fault. So you don't exactly get any more with Potter than you do Rodgers. In fact I think Potter is someway behind Rodgers in calibre of manager.

Wasn't comparing him to BR. Just think if BR left then we could do a lot worse than Potter as a replacement.

God of football failed to win again.

No win in 8 for Potter

Soon be sliding down the table.

Nice run of game coming up West Ham, Spurs, Man U, Wolves in the next 5

Man is a myth, he had a run of 2 win in 18 last season.

Where do you expect this Brighton squad to be in the prem?

Also in respect of Graham Potter's record this season, remember we were absolutely robbed of three points by appalling officiating at the Amex in September - some dreadful decisions from Attwell and VAR.

Surely some day it's destined for Potter to manage Stoke City.

Sure we could but Pep and Klopp are not likely to be interested. Seriously, I don't get why people are so keen to put the boot into Potter. His team are attractive to watch in my view and he seems like a decent guy. Would be interesting to see what he could do with a bigger budget and better players.

You've interpreted that above Potter is only Pep/Klopp when that is quite blatantly not the case...

Attractive to watch is debatable.

Not worth the gamble to see if he could do anything with a bigger budget and better players. I really don't see the fuss.

That's the great thing about football. All about opinions.

They have spent 260m in the last 5 years maybe they should have spent it better.

I expect them to finish roughly where they have for the last 2 seasons under Potter around 15th or 16th with about 40 odd points.

I just don't rate him as highly as some do.

He may prove me wrong.

As we have found out for two season running it does matter where you are until after the 38th game.

Not sure our budget is that much bigger to be fair.
