Unfortunately people use that word nowadays in the same terms as "horror show" without realising how bad a word it is.

It's insensitive but people don't realise just how much nowadays unless they're well educated on the subject.

Carlton Cole really needs to research Auschwitz, and even visit the site for himself or meet the relatives of the victims who got caught in the situation..

Absolutely staggering in any day of age that anybody would think that's an acceptable term to use in any situation, mind blowing really.

Just tuned into Chelsea v Man United on Sky. The rainbow lances design on the scoreboard confused me and I thought Chelsea had a man sent off lol

I’m not sure they do. I think he’s thinking of another word entirely and mare himself look not only stupid, but ignorant.

It's not really about doing research or education though, is it? 6 million people were murdered by the state for their religion.

That's a simplification but it's all you should need to know to realise that comparing it to a football match is completely inappropriate. Him (and Barton, who did the same thing weeks earlier) are a pair of idiots.

I heard him say this live when I was driving earlier on. Couldn't quite believe he said it.

Joey Barton used that example the other week too .

It's part of the National Curriculum and would have been when he was in the education system. How well educated do you have to be? He'd know enough about what happened (as should basically any 14+ year old in the UK) that it should only take a little bit of empathy or a smidgen of commen sense to avoid comparing the murder of millions of innocent people to a one-sided football match.

He’s been carrying the team all season tbf

He has but in all honesty he was a commercial decision he’s not what they need and is holding back some of the younger players and forcing the shape and style of play. I wonder how much he plays under Ralf considering his style of play

Just because they taught it at school doesn't mean he learned it or even remembered it.

It's just ignorance. No more no less.

On the basis of what is, let's face it, a shithoused 1-0 second half lead, which may not last, United should bin Rangnick and offer Carrick an 8 year deal...

I know he’s on one of his annual runs in the side, but still not convinced RLC is anywhere near good enough for Chelsea’s level.

Just looks so awkward with the ball at his feet, first touch is horrific
