They did say at the start that they had seen us in the League Cup final and were impressed by the fans - no doubt this was only said to get them off to a positive start as they had probably watched many teams - but it does suggest they have a real interest in football. Why Leicester? Possibly looking for a club with potential that they could move forward & give their brand a boost.

Why Leicester? I honestly think our colours may have played a role in them choosing us.

Nah we are in good hands. Top and family are going no where. They are invested both financially and emotionally.

Besides knowing they own a successful club that most investors would bite his hand off to get a piece of.

Even now the worlds richest are lining up to own the next premier league wonder.

We are in safe hands and things are going to get better and we will be more consistent achievers whether it be

trophies or european football. The transition has already started we are just in the middle of it all so its sometimes

hard for some of us to see the woods from the trees. One day who knows we may get bough by owners with even more

financial clout and bigger ambitions. I trust when the day comes Top will have plenty of suiters lining up and will only

sell to the one they feel is best for the club and city.

A good follow up question would be to ask why exactly do you think they bought us? To what end? It’s not as if they were born local fans who fell in love with us. Sometimes I wonder if the typical wealthy owner with piles of cash from dubious sources buy in to get a level of public gaze and legitimacy that somehow protects or elevates their status. Like the owners of The Tate museums. Apparently they were not a cultured bunch. Difficult to imagine that now.

Because they couldn't afford to buy Reading at the time and we were the next best thing

I think that we were fairly cheap when they first bought us, and initially they spent like a kid in a sweetshop, with Sven and trying to buy the League. I think they are pretty astute and swiftly realised that building a team is a bit more of a long term task. Hence the training ground etc.

I think they are very invested emotionally, particularly how the fans celebrated Vichai. They know that feeling is genuine.

I suspect King Power Ltd is having a second tough year financially. Duty Free isn't a great business at the moment, but they will spend again when they are free to do so.

Top's first professional football game was when his dad brought him over to see us beat Middlesbrough in the League Cup final.

If he does decide to walk away i hope that we all put a metaphorical arm around his shoulder and thank him from the bottom of our hearts for making our dreams come true. Twice.

After winning the champions league for a record 25th time Top celebrates his 70th birthday by buying Derby and bulldozing Pride Park, live-streamed to a packed KP stadium), before announcing “completed it mate” and drops the mike.

He'll get annoyed we don't have regional rivals anymore, "sell" us off, then buy Derby for peanuts - get them promoted and then reveal himself as the mastermind of the whole prank to give us a plaything when he takes off his jacket at Pride Park to reveal a City shirt.

Top isn't going anywhere.

The club have a fully nailed on identity now that both fans and players around the world know of. I see our club in the beginning chapter of our story under the owners and I except that to increase year on year.

You don't build training grounds like ours if you aren't 'in' for consistent top 4 challenging. You don't design and build (pending) stadium expansions that further raises our profile. With the 'top 6' wealth gap and potentially missing out on top 4 places more often than not over the coming years/decade then having that infrastructure to attract players is and always has been an absolute must.

I would be disappointed as a fan not to be regularly in the top 6 year in and year out until we claw ourselves nearer and nearer financially to be regularly challenging for top 4 positions. We could be the only non major city powerhouse club apart from Manchester and London, which could be kinda cool 😎

I think initially it was mostly about using us as an advertising hoarding for KPI.

Nowadays I think it’s a mixture of that, plus it being a more traditional passion project/hobby for a rich man.

I also don’t think he will sell up soon, although I do wonder how on earth KPI is managing to stay afloat during this pandemic.

I’d agree that something in Thailand would more likely be the trigger for it than something over here.

Crystal ball time. Maybe just for a bit of fun to help us take our minds off of yesterday. All things must change given enough time. It’s pretty much a law of nature.

With that in mind, do you ever see Top selling up? If so, under what circumstances?

Personally I just can’t see it because the club is like a living memorial to Vichai. If there ever was an exit strategy, I could see that the crash may have changed things forever. Also, experiences like he had with the players on Saturday can only build on what personal affection he had for the club.

If anything I can only see an increased level of investment in the future. Some of the more sour commentators in the newspapers on the subject of ‘little old Leicester’ were quick to point out that our owners are actually richer than The Glaser Family and the owners of Fenway Sports Group. I hadn’t realised that (if it’s true).

If I had to predict a change in ownership one day I think it would come on the back of some domestic trouble in Thailand. I don’t know enough about the politics over there to speculate on how that might happen, but I can’t see Top upping sticks for any other reason.

How long is a piece of string?

I was shocked at the anti feeling towards King Power a few months back on our social media from many Thai nationals.

Being so under the sheets with a very questionable regime may damage them should there be more protests etc.

We struck lucky with these owners and so many in England are not so fortunate. I hope that the day King Power leave/sell up it is part of widespread fan ownership as part of a nationwide protection of our game.

....without a doubt.

However, I've never been entirely sold that someone can become a billionaire from selling Toblerone and Marlboro lites at Bangkok Airport. It just doesn't stack up financially.

On that basis, I can only presume king power organisation has many business streams
