Just saw on his Instagram, I believe it is his first call up! Brilliant for the lad

I imagine good for the club as well having a Thai international player

Great stuff, think he's got something about him. A loan move to League One or The Championship next season to really boost his profile.

Me and you have watched enough development games and players. Would you agree with me that we took too many key players out of the development sqaud this season for loans and first team sqaud (some necessity) thus causing relegation.

Aside from this how does this impact the appeal of potential stars to be sought and bought for the squad when they are looking at a season that is a huge drop down from division 1.

We wouldn't have been relegated had we kept everyone but the work in progress is to speed up the pathway through the age groups so that we can compete better in all age groups as well as loan 18 - 21 year olds out as part of their development. We were deliberately keeping players in order to be competitive at U23 level but that's not the be all and end all, if it stifles the development of players.

Hopefully we'll see the benefits of the changes we are making soon (still got much more improving to do - especially around the coaches).

We've 3 very exciting attacking midfielders that will be stepping up from the U16's to the U18's regularly next season.

I know Logan Briggs has represented England at Under 15 level.  Supposed to have a very good Kenyan on the books too.  Also England is represented by Harry French, Mirsad Ali and Kirsten Otchere.

Very interesting.  Funny how you can never find any info for below 16; possibly to do with child protection.  Think there is also a Tanzanian striker too, Kelvin John, who scores lots.

Brandon Cover has been a very talented and technically accomplished player from a very young age.

Just hope he doesn't fall into the usual  "black hole" for technically gifted players once they step into our U18-U23 set-up

The most important thing that the club do for all young people, is provide a safe environment. It is paramount above anything else, including football.

Johnly Yfeko, 17 year old left back, has been on trial with Southampton, and also previously went on trial at Coventry.

10 games for the under 18s, and 3 games for the u23s for us this season.

Few games I saw him play for the u23s I thought he looked decent, would be a shame to let him go

Southampton hand trial to Leicester City left-back with transfer assault on key area planned

The 17-year-old, who has also been on trial with Coventry City, took part in a Southampton Under-18s game earlier this month as he looks for a new club ahead of the summer transfer window

Southampton have been keeping tabs on Leicester City left-back Johnly Yfeko ahead of the summer transfer window.

The 17-year-old looks set to leave the Foxes this summer as rival clubs come hunting for his signature.

HampshireLive understands that the teenager has been on trial with Southampton, allowing Ralph Hasenhuttl and the club’s academy bosses the chance to cast an eye over his talents.

The left-back had also been on trial with Championship side Coventry City before heading down to the south coast to take part in a Saints Under-18s win over Reading.

Southampton currently have no first-team left-backs heading into the new season with Ryan Bertrand having left the club for pastures new.

The club have also been disappointed by the lack of progress made by backup pair Jake Vokins and Yan Valery during their loan spells with Sunderland and Birmingham, respectively.

Hasenhuttl is keen to add plenty of depth to his full-back department this summer, including amongst the youth ranks so as to ensure that a constant flow of talent can be guaranteed to graduate the club’s academy over the coming years.

Chilwell has gone on record to publicly praise certain coaches at Leicester, all seemed to be prior to U18s/U23s though....
