Not been that blown away with TOTS Rodri, might sell him and look at getting Icon Deco

Managed to get a few games in last night but just tried playing again today and kicks me off again and when trying to play off line drafts it comes up saying server error seen a lot online with the same problem. It doesn’t cut off until half way into the second half when it actually lets you play .

Really annoying as I can’t do any objectives for tokens which expire today and won’t get a chance to do the draft ones either 🙈

Of the TOTS I've used, he was the worst.

I've quickly realised why he is considerably cheaper than any other TOTS.

 

Sold him now and put the money towards a Icon Deco who's better already.

Realized I had a tonne of TOTS untradeables and a decent amount of high rated players in my club, so did the PIM Vieira SBC.

 

Was able to cover all the high rated parts with what I had and picked up a bunch of the TOTS that are super cheap to help along the way. Only had to buy a few players for the 83 to 86 rated, so not too bad.

 

Had only used his Middle and Prime a couple Fifas ago, but the Prime Moments is brilliant! Well worth the time and cost.

Yeah, I've been on the receiving end of how good the Icon Viera is although I never quite remember even prime Viera having the same speed as Mbappe.

 

He was rapid and just smashed every chance in to the net.

 

I was using Prime Van Nistelrooy but wasn't upto much. Swapped him for a 93 rated Vardy who's been brilliant for me and was cheaper than his replacement!

I don’t know what else I can do now I have checked my internet deleted the game re installed it I can’t even finish half a game so not got the chance to get any objectives done at all. Might have to switch back to my old Xbox one to see if it helps

Canales as my red pick and Canales as my guaranteed La Liga ToTS player. Shame I’m not just collecting different versions of players I’ll never use!

 

Don’t know about anyone else but packweight for La Liga has been really poor.

There’s no point me doing the guaranteed La Liga TOTS pack. I’ve got De Tomas, Araujo, Canales and Courtois untradeable. I’ll just get one of those back.

Need some advice I had a decent side high 80s rating team and was doing well 

I've now managed to build a 92 rated side with my lowest player being a 92 highest 96.

Since doing so I'm pretty much losing every game whether it be rivals or the cups in friendlies any idea what I'm doing wrong?

I seem to have drastically gone down hill since getting a better team every decision goes against me my players are constantly doing stupid things.

I just can't seem to catch a break at the moment for some reason and I'm not sure whats gone wrong

I got Courtois, who I'd put into the PIM Vieira SBC, so was happy to have him back.

I've always found that with Fifa. 

 

Of course the goal is to put together the strongest team, but often it seems like you get punished for doing so. I notice it particularly in squad battles, which of course is always a bit dodgy as far as the "AI" and how they can do certain things and all of a sudden you can't.

 

I use several teams and have just as much fun playing with some of my lower ranked ones than I do with my "A" squad.

We know Fifa has always had its game play faults but they have really stood out since playing FUT.

 

Some of the deflections, and stuff aren't just bad, they are impossible in real life. Same with there being a sudden force field when you almost get to a ball you clearly shouldn't have.

 

Also, is it only me that's had headers from corners blocked by a defender on the near post? When I say blocked, it hits the defender, hits the keeper the  just seems to land under the keeper. Clearly a game play script as there's no freedom with the ball.

Both I have found in many games I've spent wo muxh time and effort building my team and as you say I feel like I'm punished for it now.

I love the game always have I've never built a team quite like this one I'd start again but the prices people charge for players are as bad as in the real life game.

So I genuinely don't know what to do hence why I've asked for people's opinions on my next move

My team are all 90+ and I tend to have runs. Il lose a few in a row and be close to throwing the controller In the bin then suddenly il grab a couple of wins.

 

It certainly becomes a bit more competitive now and it's at the stage of the game where some teams are literally unbeatable. Pump the ball foward to some ridiculously rated Ronaldo, Mbappe and Co and its just a hammering.

 

At the start of the game, when I see the squad load up, full of icons and stuff, it's just damage limitation.

 

Still, I'd rather get hammered than play one of those loser that goes one nil up and then passes the ball between his back 4 for the whole second half. Fifa mechanics again make it impossible to get the ball back.

The better team you have, you start relying on the quality of players instead of playing good FIFA.

 

For example, if you buy R9 because he's brilliant in the game, you try to force everything through him instead of picking better options for passes etc.

 

Also, like in real football, If Leicester are playing Norwich in real life, they are set up differently than if they are playing Man City.

 

When opponents see you have a god squad, their mindset is different from when they are up against someone with an average squad. They may use more defensive tactics and be more focused and up for the game. 
 
As humans, when we play poor FIFA, we tend to look for excuses; basically, it's the game's fault. Instead of what did I do wrong.
