I think EA are underestimating the power of FIFA's official license to consumers, even if they can license content separately. EA Sports FC is a fvcking awful brand, too. They don't seem to realise that gamers view them as an absolutely toxic company.

 

But I don't trust FIFA to give the licenses to anyone half decent also. The only reason they've broken off the deal with EA is because they wanted a bigger slice of the gambling profits. Expect something even worse now they've had a taste of it. 

 

Shame, because in the hands of a good studio there could be a really authentic football game which could challenge the EA monopoly which has made them lazy. Competition breeds excellence, and FIFA has been dogshit for probably 10 years now. 

 

TL;DR: Fvck FIFA, EA and their Ultimate Team scam which has ruined football games.

I guess with eFootball being an monumental turd and there being no competition, now's the time to jump ship from the FIFA branding as there's literally nowhere else to go.

EA will carry on being the leading player in the market. They have been doing it for 20 plus years.

 

No one will pick up the FIFA licence and be able to compete with EA anytime soon.

Finally cleared my unassigned pile of all my Azpilicuetas to open my stacked packs. Just got moments Cafu from an untradeable ultimate pack. 
 

Up to 3 million coins now and still fully untradeable. Scared of losing coins on buying tradeable players to use.

Really want a proper retro game mode, ability to play at old stadiums and do career modes in the 70s, 80s.. maybe even before that. I know it won't happen though because it's not hype enough for EA.

I did the moments Ashley Cole SBC and he is brilliant for me. However, the attraction for me was the 4* star skills, which I think is only on that card.

Scored 15 in 11 for me, he's an odd one cuz his stats say he should be good. But he doesn't feel that quick. His strength doesn't actually seem to stack up in game either and his finishing isn't great. But **** his efforts are powerful

100% this! During the game he kind of ambles around looking like a slightly odd shape and not feeling that special. Then you check at FT and he’s scored another 2!

Really disappointed how easily he gets knocked around. He should be a freaking bulldozer!
