Looks like the cricket club opens from 4 for midweek games.

 

Good job too as the two micropubs I'd eyed up for a swift half in before heading there appear be closed on Tuesdays.

Yeah, I guess so. Only a minor detour from the station so may take a look anyway.

I'm assuming you've been here before but I'd also check out The Bridge if you've got a bit of time, which is also in the town centre. Genuinely a class boozer.

Reminds me of Wigan in the promotion season when I took up the offer of a spare hotel bed. The only place open was Wetherspoons, which closed about an hour after full-time. What a night.

There's just under 500 available on the website too, and that is before all of the returns are processed.

Yeah I returned my three as well. Kudos to those going, but I'd rather smack myself about with a large piece of granite than trundle up to Burnley on a cold,and inevitably wet midweek to see us meekly lose 2-1 here.
