The vaccine pass or negative test for matches as of next week - can anyone figure out if it applies to children age 12?  Or is it only over 18s?  or over 16s?  Hopefully LCFC will clarify.

I think as long as you’ve all been to a Christmas party then it’s all good?

BBC

From Wednesday 15 December (subject to parliamentary approval), people will need an NHS Covid Pass - showing their vaccination status or a recent negative lateral flow test - to gain entry to:

  • Nightclubs
  • Indoor unseated venues with more than 500 people
  • Unseated outdoor venues with more than 4,000 people
  • Any venue with more than 10,000 people

The government also wants people to do a lateral flow test (LFT) before entering "a high-risk setting" - such as a crowded place - "involving people you wouldn't normally come into contact with, or when visiting a vulnerable person".

When should people in England be taking tests?

Official guidance for England has been updated to recommend that people take free NHS lateral flow tests (LFTs) before going to high-risk settings this winter.

This includes spending time in busy places such as shopping centres, or where there is limited fresh air, or when visiting vulnerable people.

People are also reminded to follow any specific testing guidance for places such as health and social care settings, schools and prisons.

So hang on...my daughter is 13 and has been vaccinated once, can she go?

Mine is also 13 and had one vaccine - I’m going to get her to do a lateral flow test.

But how will these lateral flow tests be documented as evidence?

I thought this was what we’ve been doing anyway? Are they taking about that thing on the app?

Yep. It was just club policy to do spot checks before, now it's allegedly going to be compulsory to check everyone, which I'm sure will be strictly enforced especially when the last few thousand turn up 5 minutes before the whistle.

You submit them through the testing website and get it documented in the NHS app.

Lateral flows that ANYONE  can do at home, I.e to ensure they get a negative result if they arent bothered about anyone else and dont want to miss a game???

Also with our stewards checking results and passes we will have to start queueing  3 hours ahead of kick off ....

No it’s fine - my daughter has to do them twice a week for her school.

So far if you haven’t had evidence you have still been able to go in

Now if you have no evidence you will not be allowed in
