Despite us being absolutely Bob Bint (to the point where we appoint Steve Cooper as manager because he was ‘cheap’) and him being on 325 grand a week, that even before you mention he’s been dropped for having an absolutely appalling attitude, Marcus Rashford’s name keeps getting floated on here.

He evidently can’t be arsed to try a leg on dickhead money for another new manager at a massive club like United, but coming to a side 17th in the table, without a pot to piss in to meet even 50% of his wages is within which realm of possibility?!

Come on 😅 .. we’re more likely to get rid of Rudkin than this!

Yeah, may as well pay him a fortune to be on our treatment table with the rest of them!

This. Decent player who is sadly only available for about 5 games a season. Will end up back at Celtic with Edouard

worth a punt?

Since the 18/19 season he's CONSISTENTLY missed at least 20 games per season through injury. 56 games in the last 2 through his hamstring alone.

I like Tierney but Seagrave would kill him.

He completely ruined Boxing Day two years ago when he scored against us, ran to the West Stand and stared right into my eyes as he pulled this horribly smug face. So it’s a no for me.

Other than one good run of form over 10 games in 22/23 he has overall been pretty crap for Newcastle and would be a massive waste of our one available Prem loan (assuming Edouard goes back)

Don't shoot the messenger but I've heard from a source at Seagrave that we've made a bid for Marcus Rashford. I know... I know.. don't really trust him though last month he told me Potter was a done deal.

Oh based on Rashford, surely he would have told you Pep was a done deal?

We paid too much for Perez, but he would walk into this side now I think.

That is an horrendous thought, but I guess you're probably right - especially with the Fatawu injury

11 goals and 2 assists in 14 games this season....

On loan, yeah I’d take him. Just purely for his never say die attitude. He will run his socks off. Need that in a relegation fight.

I know it’s controversial but… shit players can look good in la liga.

you need to be more robust in the prem, in la liga you get all the time in the world so if you’re technically good you will get good numbers.  when Perez was pressed he folded and it’s no surprise that his goals came against poor opposition that didn’t defend as well (Sheffield I’m looking at you)

There’s a reason people like morata can suddenly look world class in that league.

and if I’m being completely fair… what la liga teams would call bad defenders, can be a success in England as technical ability doesn’t matter as much.

Mercury seem to think we are interested in Ben Godfrey. Not getting a look in at Atalanta.

I’ve seen him linked with a load of clubs but I don’t get it. He didn’t make it at Everton, fails to get in at Atalanta and now prem clubs are after him?  Odd links

It's probably more a testament to the fact he's not a winger. He plays as a striker/false 9 for them.

Did we though? With the way the market is £30m is the new norm for players leaving unless you get ridiculously lucky.

I rated him at Norwich, pacey and gets stuck in. Part of his problem at Everton was being moved from right back to centre back to left back - never nailed a place down. Can see him being eyed up as our LB who moves into a three (albeit being right footed)

IMO who we sign in defence will determine if we stay up or not.

We do need someone to take control of our back 4. These links to youngsters concern me as they are playing in an inferior league so hard to judge their ability. Wonder whether a loan offer for Tomori or Dier are viable?

Lindelof seems more likely

Cool. A player Spurs decided to loan out cos he didn't score. Went Sevilla, didn't score. And now, despite scoring, Espanyol want to cut short his current loan.

Offer them a quid.
