There was a twitter link about how man city and liverpool are tracking Facundo. 

 

Quite frankly i’m not surprised. Brighton are going to make a fortune on a  player that they don’t need. They really are the best in the business rn

They don’t need him this season.  They could use him but they obvs feel he’ll get more game time with us and develop 

 

then they get the choice of selling for a fortune or using him next season

Yes, but the premier league had us thinking we’d be -10 and so we’ve ended up with Pooper, Decordova Reid and Oliver Skipp

Strange one Jack Clarke, but perhaps like above said we had no money to play with but we have long term interest still. I strongly assume ‘if’ we stay up and they go down there is an automatic release clause for similar value so they are at no loss.

According to Transfermarkt his contract expires in the summer, and that article says they want £12mill for him.

Id guess they have an option on his contract, as they wouldn’t have loaned him out otherwise. So 12m is probably what you’d expect to pay considering what we paid for Ayew at his age.

Honestly think this is a nothing story. Never heard of the plums that are peddling the narrative but goes completely against what the club have fed journo's only yesterday regarding transfers that improve the STARTING ELEVEN.

Unfortunately, 'proven' PL players tend to be quite expensive and most of them probably wouldn't want to join us anyway unless they're winding down their careers (see: Ayew and Bobby De-Cordova Reid) or have fallen down the pecking order at their existing clubs (see: Winks and Skipp). So any signing we make is going to carry an element of risk, and any club making signings in January usually pays over the odds.
