Well he played a decent number of minutes for Saints last season, yet they loaned him out in this.  Still young and developing, presumably the reason Soton didn't bring him up with them.  However, given they're definitely going straight back down, they'll likely need him unless they got a fee that made it worthwhile for FFP.  In a position we're overloaded in I can't see it.  Pretty sure we were loosely linked in the summer and this is just regurgitating that.

His he better than what we already have? In our current league situation 2nd from the bottom we should forget about chasing players in Europe or wherever who few have ever heard of.  We need Premier League experience and if they are over 30 and still deliver, that’s what we need, it’s desperate.

Desperate for a new RB and CB. That's priority over any other positions it's clear

The KWP signing sounds interesting, but selling him to us would signal to their fans and the whole club that they have given up and are preparing for life in the Championship.

If he's not signing a new contract though, they'd be better cashing in and signing a replacement. Obviously we'd be at the bottom of the queue in terms of teams Southampton would want to sell to nut they may have little choice

Because we consistently overpay for average players. Udinese wont care who he goes to as long as they get £16mil for a player theyve barely used this season.
