lush Posted 22 November 2005 Posted 22 November 2005 Its a massive subject, and craig has fueled it by saying johanson wont play there, so who should?
Libertine Posted 22 November 2005 Posted 22 November 2005 I'd like to see Sheehan again. But I wouldn't mind Gilbert being given another chance.
Libertine Posted 22 November 2005 Posted 22 November 2005 Gilbert reminds me of nicky platneur S**t He was poor in the games he played. But how many did he play? Give him another chance. He was meant to be unfit at the start of the season.
Jimmy Posted 22 November 2005 Posted 22 November 2005 i think he played the 1st 3 and hasnt played since except 1 of the cardiff games
Thracian Posted 22 November 2005 Posted 22 November 2005 Gilbert should continue to be groomed as understudy. Levein believes he can be a good player and he was steady enough in the last Reserves match I watched. He'll shows no signs of having Sheehan's class or variety of skills but he's certainly a natural left sided player and if he's smoothed some of his rough edges still further then he'll make an acceptable reserve at least for the time being.
Sir Fynwy Posted 22 November 2005 Posted 22 November 2005 Roberto Carlos or failing that Ashley Cole.
Ric Flair Posted 22 November 2005 Posted 22 November 2005 Roberto Carlos or failing that Ashley Cole. How witty
syston_fox Posted 22 November 2005 Posted 22 November 2005 Tiatto coz the most entertaining part of the games at the moment is the bet me and my dad have about how quickly he will get booked in that game!
Dr The Singh Posted 22 November 2005 Posted 22 November 2005 Sheehan. Gilberts sheeeeeeeeeeite Sheehan is my fisrt choice then Gilbert, but knowing CL he will probably play Maybury!!
Scow Posted 22 November 2005 Posted 22 November 2005 Jase can play left back. He played there once for England, y'know.
Ricey Posted 22 November 2005 Posted 22 November 2005 Jase can play left back. He played there once for England, y'know. Are you Micky in disguise? I'd play Sheehan there, if not him then I'd play three center backs.
Scow Posted 22 November 2005 Posted 22 November 2005 Are you Micky in disguise? Scowy thinks that suggestion is ludicrous.
Ricey Posted 22 November 2005 Posted 22 November 2005 Scowy thinks that suggestion is ludicrous. I knew it.
Anish Posted 22 November 2005 Posted 22 November 2005 Sheehan. But 'clever' Craig thinks Maybury. Muppet.
Scow Posted 23 November 2005 Posted 23 November 2005 Sheehan. But 'clever' Craig thinks Maybury. Muppet. Then thought Stearman 20 minutes later.
ROSSINDA Posted 23 November 2005 Posted 23 November 2005 Then thought Stearman 20 minutes later. Play Hume it’s the only way he will get a game. No Sheehan for me as well, Left sided, good on the dead ball front as well.
Gené and Tonic Posted 23 November 2005 Posted 23 November 2005 I think this poll confirms Leveins stupidity. Sheehan has won by a landslide.
lush Posted 23 November 2005 Author Posted 23 November 2005 I think this poll confirms Leveins stupidity. Sheehan has won by a landslide. In 20 hours that included a home game, 38 out of 48 people 79% were of the opinion that sheehan should play LB for city. Levein was lucky that stearman is a good player, but sheehan is a better LB. If it goes tits up with no sheehan or hume on saturday, i dread to think what the reaction will be.
Thracian Posted 23 November 2005 Posted 23 November 2005 Forty eight votes so far and almost 80 per cent favour Sheehan as left-back. This isn't just my campaign it's what the fans - the people who watch our football year-in, year-out have been screaming for most of the season. And what does Levein do?. He almosts cost us the match in the first 20 minutes by playing Maybury out of position (when he'd already seen that he's no left-back) and has to concede that the decision is such a disaster he has to move a youngster over to show him how it should be done. Stearman was super. The fans have said THAT all along. Why should those 80/100 be wrong over Sheehan? Why should Stearman have to play out of position and a natural left-back be sidelined. Expecially when the kid is different class to the alternatives as so many fans have demonstrably noticed. Levein insults their intelligence. And that sort of arrogance will be the end of him in my view, thank God.

I dont think CL can ignore for too much longer. If he does it's another poor descion bringing him closer to the sack.
