That was fooking exhilarating

It’s so good. Especially once they’ve got the frame in the bag, the tension loosens in the arm and they relax and it was all just so naturally wonderful. Fear for Lisowski if he loses this frame.

This feels like a 13-10 win for Robertson.

Lisowski needs a good pep talk from Ebdon.

He’s crumbling a bit isn’t he. Time to see what he’s made of mentally.

Is Jack Lisowski any good? Every time I see him he seems super error strewn and also a bit of a pushover at times. Don't really see where he excels? Obviously he's a top 16 player so must have something going for him.

He’s a decent enough break builder. I would put him in a similar bracket of Mark Allen/Kyren Wilson. Good enough to beat anyone on their day, good enough to win a ranking tournament but don’t really have enough to be dominant in multiple tournaments over the season like Ronnie, Selby, Higgins, Robertson, Trump.

Thanks for reply, I have to admit I've never or at least rarely seen him play well and find it a mystery how he usually gets to a decent level in the tournaments. He seems to be a little bit mentally fragile too when it comes to the crunch. Like, you would put your house on Robertson winning this 13-10. I do like how he plays all out attack and would like to see him do well and won a big tournament (Lisowski that is).

No worries. Don’t get me wrong it’s really hard to be consistent on the tour. But some players will consistently win 2/3 big events a year whereas most in the top 16 will win one and have a good run in a few others. But obviously what separates them is winning. @kingfox also knows his snooker stuff as well always worth a read.

Makes sense. I am too much of a casual snooker fan. Bloody love it and massively get into it when it's on the TV but only watch the majors and lack general knowledge of the game. Probably everything that your real snooker fan abhors!

On Lisowski - fair play on that last frame showed some balls good on him. Would love to see him win this match. Hell probably lose in a decider won't he!!

BBC have the 3 big tournaments but you get a lot of snooker on ITV4. Champion of champions, tour championship, Grand Prix, players championship. All decent tournaments

One of the most naturally gifted players on tour, his mental game has always been his weakness, has the tendency to lack concentration as he’s said so himself.

If he pulls this off, it will be by far his best performance of his career, especially from a mentality standpoint.

Robertson looks like a different player when he plays almost without second guessing himself and he speeds his play up.

Fair play, a couple of years ago I honestly thought he was on his way well down the rankings but whatever he's done over the last few seasons is working wonders, relentless at times

What a session of Snooker this has been, Trump vs McGill locked in a war as well, down to the yellow at 12-11.

TV & Tablet required lol

Just the task of playing Higgins after that lol

Nice one Lisowski

Agreed, was massively rooting for him at the end there and hope he wins the whole thing now though obviously difficult particularly as he's got two more intense days tomorrow and Wednesday for the quarters.

What a match though, had everything. Although Robertson didnt do himself any favours on the final two frames Jack showed mental strength to get over some big misses at 10-7 and 11-11 to win the match. The Ebdon influence might be paying off.

Watching an interesting tight battle between Yan and Williams on the red button channel. BBC decide to end coverage of that to switch to O'Sullivan giving Maguire and comfortable beating. Great choice 🙄

Definitely made the right choice.  Highlight of the match was Maguire chipping the pink and clearing the table.  Been so scrappy with both Ronnie and Maguire being very poor by their standards.
