Thought Selby was in real trouble when he threw away a frame to go 11-7 down. Couple of strong frames brought him back to 11-9.

If you lose the longest frame in crucible history on the pink to go 12-10 down, you have to be super human to get any further. Selby will be back next year.

Great clearance that to seal it for Yan. 
 

Selby was always playing catch up since this morning. Too many unforced errors.

Yan in those last two frames especially showed what he’s all about, capable of scoring heavy and capable of scrapping it out, the perfect combination needed to usually do well at the Crucible.

 

Exactly why Wilson & McGill have had good success over the years, Yan is in the same bracket.

Glad Noppon got the last frame of the session, he seems like a sound chap. Higgins will still win it comfortably though.

 

I just can't warm to Wilson or Bingham, might bin that match off.
