This is an interesting way of self-owning.

Especially since that final was in 85, but I didn't want to be pedantic.

Ah I thought you was commenting on his age as he said he was in school :D

The best Lisowski has ever played, mentally & tactically to stick with Robertson & Higgins shows vast improvement, just a shame he ended up losing on a careless red.

Cracking semi-final line up though, can’t get much better than that, not surprised to see the Class of 92 all there, but before the tournament, the second quarter felt the most open, no doubt some predicted Vafaei turning over Trump in R1; however he got through that, and looks to be slowly finding form.

Didn't have to Google it. It's one of the most famous occasions in the history of the sport. Any fan would know it was 85 without looking it up tbh. I was 2 in 1985 and I knew it and imagine even people not even born would know it.

Okay well done.

Again, I apologise. I'm very sorry.

I'll stop watching snooker.

Thanks again.

Whats the value in posting or even going into a thread about how boring something is if you dont like it? I'm not a fan of motorbikes but I dont post in their about how indifferent I am to them.

Glad Selby went out, can't stand him playing snooker (though sure he's an alright bloke). So slow, boring to watch and gets the arse easily. Will be supporting Ronnie as usual.

Read yesterday the beeb are phasing out Dennis Taylor and John Virgo from commentary box next year.

Would be a shame to lose them both but got a feeling the beeb want fresh ideas.

Not a fan of either Murphy or Doherty.

Joe Perry sounds good. Will miss Virgo more than Taylor.

I thought Doherty did a good job describing Robertsons 147 tbf.

He called it after about three reds and it was decent commentary IMHO

Wow one of the great clearances to go 10-6

It really was! A huge blow for John to lose that one at such a key time with the extended break afterwards.

Probably grateful of the break, Ronnie was flying.
