I’ll take 10th/11th if offered, long term I think we've got a good thing going with Bedford but we need to properly establish ourselves in the WSL first.

Agreed. And it won't be easy. With Birmingham gone simply not finishing bottom is going to be a massive challenge. I agree about Bedford though, she looks like she might be the real deal as a coach, so fingers crossed...

Really looking forward to the season tbh!

LCFC Women is pleased to confirm the permanent signing of Northern Ireland international defender Demi Vance, subject to league approval.
More on this story...
Vance’s Joy After Signing For The Foxes
- Experienced defender joins LCFC Women
- The left-back signs for the Foxes from Glasgow Rangers
- Northern Ireland international made three appearances at Euro 2022

The 31-year-old - who boasts 78 caps for her country - joins the Foxes following the expiration of her contract with Glasgow Rangers.

Most recently, she made three appearances for Northern Ireland at the UEFA Women’s European Championship, playing 90 minutes in each fixture.

She told LCFC TV: “It all happened really fast, so I don’t think I’ve had a minute to think but here we are! I’m happy to be here and buzzing to get started.

“Leicester have made massive strides over the last couple of years. I’m sitting here in the facilities, which are fantastic. It’s an ambitious club and I want to bring my experience to help the squad."

She started her career with Northern Irish Premiership outfit Glentoran Belfast, spending six years with the Glens before making the move to Australia in 2014, joining Northern Redbacks – now known as Perth RedStar Football Club.

A return to Glentoran followed in 2017 prior to a switch to Scottish Premiership side Glasgow Rangers in 2020.

An experienced defensive-minded player, Vance adds valuable quality to the Foxes and joins the Club ahead of Sunday’s Barclays Women’s Super League opener against Tottenham Hotspur at King Power Stadium (3pm BST kick-off).

First game of the season at 3pm today down the KP against Spurs

Looking likely to be their 2nd highest attendance (around 2,700 sold)

If anybody is on the fence I’d say go for it, you’ve just wilfully watched the mens team try and play football for the last month and a half too so you can’t use the old standard of the game tropes anymore as an excuse not to go either lol

Where's the team news?

Are they all meeting to discuss Rodgers future?

I believe it's on FAplayer

30 mins gone. Fairly even game. Gemma Purfield going close with the only attempt on goal so far.

Decent start, look a little stronger and more aggressive, be interesting to see if we can keep it up as fitness seemed a real issue last season.

Still not sure were the goals are going to come from, Flint looks like she is towing a caravan.
