It has been widely reported that the King Power duty free business is in trouble with massive drop in sales and profits, so can they afford a luxury like loss making LC? It appears probably not from the last three transfer windows, covid lockdown has had a major impact on funding. I think we are witnessing the KP ownership days drawing to a close. The best days are behind us but not to worry we will be taken over by a Middle Easter State. Yemen maybe one possibility.

I suggested our luck would be Syria …… but Yemen is a v close second ………

Sounds like King Power are cutting back their horse racing operation. Says here that "the King Power silks could become a rarer sight on British racecourses". Not a good sign, as this was as much of a passion for Vichai as the football.

I’ve been suspecting this for some time. Never in this period of ownership have we seen such a lack of ambition. Since Vichai left us, things just haven’t been the same and it would appear that Top isn’t as committed. It really wouldn’t surprise me if this were true, and if it’s not true, then Top needs to show some ambition and sort the club out because it’s a mess!

Honest to god.

Way of the world I'm afraid in football, if King Power ain't got the money then we need someone who has. We would be a very attractive proposition to the very mega wealthy people                                                                                        And I'm sure Top and his family  would make a very handsome profit..

I believe the plan was always to buy big early and then to create an ‘in house’ breeding program so they no longer need to buy in well bred yearlings

I haven’t seen how much they’ve spent at    any of the big sales yet this summer

I can see us seeking alternative investment.

They’ll only make money on us, once they sell.

Now, sentiment aside with us being a form of memorial for King Power.

If you buy cheap, improve and then sell at a large profit. Isn’t that the same approach we take with our playing squad?

Top has a love for football apparently. However, at OHL, it’ll be less expensive and easier to get into Europe. More chance of Silverware spending less in Belgium, just being brutally honest.

Could they sell us, yes.

Do I think they will, no.

I think tops skint for sure. I saw him at the lights on frog island, he was driving a Citroen Picasso. Bad times…

Gaffer tape on the wing mirror and the back bumper zipped tied on, like an analogy for Leicester City 2022.😖

Yeah they are lining up around the block to buy us and put money in. Do you actually realise most of these people don’t put a bloody penny in of their own cash and just leverage debt against clubs.

Some of those numbers are a tad murky based on dodgy sponsorship deals …

But the point still stands, unless there is a dodgy human rights country wanting to use their countries wealth, like those listed. The chances are we are just going to get leeched on.

Kingpower have taken us as far as we can go, because short term we’ve achieved everything you could possibly hope to achieve at a club our size, and more.

Even owners like those at Man U, Liverpool, Spurs, Arsenal and possibly now Chelsea couldn’t do any more with our resources. And they ain’t bringing their own to the table.

Perhaps the admins should post a sticky where they dont want discussions allowed about top and the board and explain why so we all know where we stand.

Of course I personally prefer open discussion.

Because it descended into people saying we need new owners. And that is just going to cause mayhem because it is so f****** stupid and reactionary.

We have signs of bad management of the club, those views are valid to be aired in my opinion even if we dont agree with them.  Top and Susan sitting silent letting papers print articles with claimed sources, no action on a under performing manager and the situation with the player contracts and stadium its concerning. This isnt king power its a football club.

Hopefully this doesnt get deleted, will screen grab it.

I dont think we at the point we need new owners but we need a statement and some activity from them.

All gossip and speculation based on us not having a summer refresh of the squad,  Brendan did say refresh didn't he?

Maybe the club have been too quiet, allows speculation to grow into wild rumour, who knows, not anyone on here that's for sure.

Since when does anyone comment on press articles, stinks of entitlement.

They’ve never jumped to sack a manager, because this is real life and not a make believe football game. With huge consequences both financially and in terms of getting new manager and team etc. Again, entitlement. You want them to react when YOU want to react.

Massive issue with contracts? Paying better than most is one of the reasons we’ve done so well. It’s been common knowledge for years that we’ve been paying well… NOW you have a problem with it? Reactionary.

Unacceptable situation with the stadium? Why the hell is it unacceptable?

I’m all for a discussion about what’s gone wrong, but it’s not all on the club for starters see covid and ffp and rushed in new FFP, you also can’t control players wanting out or players running down contracts.

So it boils down to a bunch of bad signings (who they financed but didn’t choose) and a manager losing the plot and who will get the tin tac if things don’t rapidly improve.

Its everything combined really its all mounting up, and stinks of management problems from the top.  This is not some reactionary posts due to a bad start to the season, there is issues with the finances, FFP planning, recruitment, PR and Stadium planning.

The contract situation isnt just the salaries but that many are been run down.

The club can straighten all this speculation out, just make a statement.  Have a meeting with the fans, do something, show us there is a plan and that they are still committed.

Attempting to compete at the top end, keep your squad together (and staff), keep spending, keep trying to invest in infrastructure, keep scouting perfectly is a nigh on impossible job to keep balanced. Especially when covid curveball comes into play and loses the club a huge amount of money, then new FFP with just a few months notice.

Im not one to often say I told you so, but I have been doing this week as it’s all been entirely predictable. When we were spending without selling, I said at some point we need to find that cash… here we are.

Of course there are issues, mostly I think perhaps revolve around giving a manager who looked amazing to start with too much power and allowed him to surround himself with all his own people. We seem to be taking control back a bit already, but it’s not instant.

The club don’t need to comment on every little thing.

How dare you use some common sense...

A lot of this would have been avoided with a fourth place finish in 20/21.
