Myself personally, I have left a job, in which I was unhappy, to take a new role that i would be happier in, even though it was a drop in salary as I prioritised my happiness. But I do believe most people, not just footballers, but people in regular paying jobs, will prioritise money over this. And I do think this gives less right to complain about being unhappy as it is still a choice, even though one you are entitled to.

 

Ultimately, the toxic culture comes from the owner of this club. Fans are right to be unhappy. We have too many players, Faes included but not only him by a long way, who for a long time have seemed very uncommitted. This has caused frustration from fans to boil over. 

If I were taking on Wout Faes for free, I'd want change.

We had virtually no money to spend back in 2014/15s great escape, when we were struggling but signed some cheaper players who had a set of bollocks and didnt fall over/give the ball away / fall asleep repeatedly.

 

Huth, De Laet, Albrighton, Simpson, Wasilewski, Konchesky, Ulloa, Nugent, Hammond, Drinkwater, Cambiasso - all cheap, injured, ageing or undervalued.

 

Their performances and approach in the great escape resonated with the fans because they minimised what they were shit at and focused on what they were good at. 

 

Its a symbiotic relationship with the fans, where one needs to feed off tje other and learn they can rely on them.

 

Wout doesnt inspire people with his performances because he is so, so error prone and is not willing (or doesnt look like he is willing) to compromise his approach to minimose his errors. As a result people arrive at games with no faith they can inspire him to do anything better. So they dont bother.

 

So @hfaes I could name 50 worse players than Wout that have been built up by the fans at leicester and in turn performed above their ability to.deliver great moments. Wout will never be one of them as he doesnt have it in him to improve. Turkish food and culture (which Wout will grow to love from Trabsonspor subs bench) is lovely though and the fans are a wonderful forgiving bunch. 

 

And if King Power do go bust, the club has shown time and again it will return to bigger and better things than any of the players that let them down, rinse their contracts or phone in performances but demand praise.

I was there Friday night but watched the highlights back this morning.  Wout is just shocking.

He backed off, backed off, THEN went to ground.

As they say, if you are off you're feet your out the game.

Guys a dick and NEVER learns.  NEVER owns it.  Always somebody else's fault.  Put us on the back foot all game.

How can they not fancy Nelson more, half a season LY with Oxford.

I personally think Souttar hasn't got a future with us anymore. Feels like Sheff Utd will come back in for him.

Please get this absolute comedian out of my club he is an absolute disaster I’ve never seen a centre half fail to win a header so often and when someone runs at him he shits himself and lies on the floor hoping the attacker runs into him. I played a fair level of semi pro at centre half and if I did half the atrocious things this ***** does on a weekly basis i would have been canned yet this twat gets picked week in week out. Watch tonight’s goal and the goal at West Brom to see how he handles anyone running at him it is frankly laughable but too painful to watch and actually laugh 🤬🤬🤬🤬

Has to be the worst at defending at the club.

 

I don't mean from our defenders. As in, any player who plays in any position cannot be as bad as he is at playing as a centre half.

Can't run. 

Can't win headers. 

Doesn't tackle.

Positionally all over the place. 

Consistently gives the ball away, creating chances for the opposition.

 

Apart from that, really good defender.
