Burnley look fantastic at the moment but they were both fortunate in timing since most of their big earners were out of contract, and although credit to Kompany he’s brought in a very young squad with loads of potential and is playing great football, it will be interesting to see if that continues in the premier league.

This is why Rodgers needs sacking. Get a new manager bounce to at least take some pressure off the club. Big changes and improvements needed in summer.

We should have sacked him after Tuesdays horror show. Even if we did not have a new manager in place by today, I am certain that we would have played with so much more freedom.

Don't we owe pretty much the entire next couple of years PL money in loans? So essentially all our parachute payments would be tied up as we scramble about trying to have a fire sale to clear the decks.

Relegation could put this club back years and we could be in a diabolical situation that even the most staunch fans of our owners will be left wincing.

This is the end.

Yes. That is how I understand things. Relegation in the next two seasons including this would be a financial disaster.

The squad is pretty decent, a few will leave on free transfers in the summer and a couple will move on but what we need is to get rid of the poison dwarf and get someone in that will motivate the players, keep them fit and injury free and let them play to their best abilities with confidence.  The club is only in real trouble if Top doesn’t act now.

Quite sad when you read a thread like this and you have strange thoughts.. what grounds ain’t I done in the championship? Are these likely to get to members?

Blackburn, Burnley, Cardiff, Huddersfield, Preston, Rotherham and Sunderland.. :D

Well I'm already planning for Championship next season. I've done most of them but not been to Rotherham or Swansea's new grounds & I hope Plymouth get promoted as I've never been there

Best thing club can do it begin building for a championship season (obviously through sacking Rodgers).

There is zero point chasing after players and spending millions on mercenaries in January. Model we need to follow is Fulham, Norwich etc.

The danger is we become Stoke or Sunderland (they have a nice training ground too)

Realistic I'm afraid.

On the  positive side though  will be able to buy a  match day ticket as in the sixties and seventies, not the end of the world.

Bugger the teams moving stadium :D done Swansea’s old vetch field but not the new. Plymouth is a memory in my Rushden and Diamonds days as being the longest day ever.. by coach leaving nene park at 6, got back at 12.10am. Nice ground but lost 2-0 so the journey back wasn’t the best

It's a very good point, and I hope you are right.

So many have regressed under Rodgers perhaps we havent seen the best of 'newer' players.

Daka, Soumare and certainly Praet may well be great under a new manager.

who know, perhaps Vestergaard might turn into prime Cannavaro..okay, maybe a slight push, but I do agree with you about Daka & Soumare.

I think there would be an almighty improvement in all of them, they're tired of the BR narrative.

Hard to really know what the team/squad would be. Would imagine Rodgers would definitely be gone by then surely….

Iverson? Will be still be here. Would be able to be first choice.

Justin and Thomas as full backs?

Would Faes go….would need to bring some CHs in. Youngers like Edwards at Peterborough?

KDH and and a another in CM. Possibly Braybrooke but may not want to rely on as first choices.

We will have no wingers of any worth left as Barnes is the only one and he won’t stick around.

Maddison, Tielemans will go. Kelechi will get a better offer elsewhere.

Daka? Probably get a better offer elsewhere and Vardy’s wages wouldn’t be sustainable

so probably be left with no forwards!

I believe very hard, it ain’t over until the fat lady sings…

So something I put forward every week…they may have got lost in the wrong woods, but fearless foxes, will find that path to fight for their PL exsistence.

Hounds are snapping at our bushy-tails, but we ain’t yet fought our last chase…
