There is, at the moment, no change in the planned strike action to be taken by RMT members against the 14 train operators represented by the Rail Delivery Group on 16, 18, 30 March and 1 April. Sky News expects an update will be made tomorrow on this dispute.

Excuses my ignorance, is this who runs the line from rugby?

I’m guessing you’re on Avanti? If Craig’s post above is correct then they’ll still be striking.

Still not received our tickets either (and no email to state we have to collect with ID). I had to double check for an email to show I had actually bought them.

I’ve just read this, still not had mine yet, and it made me also check if I’d actually bought them!

I’ve never had a problem collecting from the away ground before though when tickets haven’t turned up, although not sure if they are lost or on the checklist. Taking my son’s passport would not be the end of the world but is a bit of a pain in the arse.
Weirdly one time this happened was Sunderland in the league winning season. Got the duplicate tickets ok there, but someone was already in our seats and had exactly the same seat numbers on the ticket. We were both in the ground! The steward there already seemed aware this was happening and said we’d have to sit front row which they don’t normally allow there. Very odd.

This isn't just a few people collecting duplicates from the host club tho. This is 100s of people having to deal with our over zealous ticket office. European collection style.

And whilst I get the reasons it really is a bit of a pain if travelling with mates and half of you have got to **** off to collect tickets and the rest haven't.

Yes mate I haven’t communicated context very well in my post and was referring mostly to ease of collecting lost in the post tickets in the past rather than this new checking system, as not sure if I’m on the checklist or not for this.

Totally agree with your comments though, and reading on here about a child being refused entry because the ticket was originally for her brother who couldn’t make it is just ridiculous.

It has been getting worse with no ticket office at the KP surely they can have one member of staff selling away tickets at the KP especially for those with an LE postcode this would save tickets being lost in the post by Royal Mail. Alright I know it can't be implemented for those that are live a distance away but it would cut down being messed around with duplicate tickets.

The club have to provide a list to the away club of any duplicate tickets required. Hence having to be collected on the day.

As for the general selling of away tickets. They are trying to cut down on passing on of tickets. Hence the away collection point as if you collected from KP you could just collect then walk out and pass it on to whoever you wanted. This is what they are trying to stop amongst other things.

Don’t see a problem with passing it on to a family member who’s paid for membership for last three years and got nothing in ballot for away tickets…

Yet my mates lad and son as got every away ticket in ballot. For last two years….🤔🤔

It turns out we are 4 of the chosen few to be ID checked for this game. They won’t even let us pick up on Saturday at Chelsea game.
I even haven’t got any photo ID. They not interested. Won’t even give refund because of rail strike. Don’t you just love this fan friendly club….🤔🤔😡😡

They won't allow collection at home games as it doesn't stop the problem. You still have a week to pass on or sell.
