Thomas has gone backwards since the FA Cup win but to be fair a lot of that will be down to the manager.

And down to the player too. Not everything is on the manager. You only have to look at Chilwell and how he helped himself, Thomas hasn't done that. Thomas is still weak on that side and for a Leicester lad there is nothing in him to even want to win balls.

You really fear for Thomas because he's going to struggle with the physical demands of the Championship if he goes out on loan too. I think he could end up sliding down the leagues.

Soumare has just been a joke signing. Least ****ing put effort in as a minimum. I hate players like that.

Amartey has somehow been here like 7 years and done well out of being a squad utility player, but really shown up with a proper run on the side. Still don't believe for one second Soyuncu dropped off that much to not have let him play instead.

I do not want to see these 3 players ever in a Leicester shirt again. Please leave our club. Not on loan, just put in your transfer request and go. And kindly request your boss to do the same. I'm tempted to boycott games if any of these 3 start. (probably won't but tempted)

Don't bother going then.

If you are tempted to boycott games just because there's a few players playing you don't like at he minute then I'd seriously be questioning where your loyalty lies as a Leicester City fan.

Go back to the 80s and 00's as you will find teams we put out full of substandard players playing for us but it still didn't stop fans of the club being fans.

Some if the dross we have had to put up with has been shocking throughout the years but that's part of being a loyal fan and supporting your club.

If you really feel like not going again because these 3 players play for us then don't go.Find another team. Simples.

Soumare, fair enough. I don't think we have the luxury of waiting for him to "come good" at this point - he's had enough opportunities now and stinks up the side 95% of the times he's called upon. Truly one of the worst pieces of recruitment I can remember in our EPL era, and seemingly signed purely off the back of a freak season in Ligue 1 rather than any real research. His languid style is wholly unsuited to the intensity of the Prem, let alone a relegation scrap. He is simply not a defensive midfielder - he should be third choice on merit behind Mendy and then Ndidi right now, yet somehow keeps finding himself starting games.

Thomas - no. The lad needs a proper kick up the arse, but has been thrown in at the deep end. He's not ready for the top flight on a consistent basis, but I think we saw glimpses in his first year that there's potential that's possibly been choked by the pressure of becoming first choice without being properly prepared. The consensus on FT at the very least is that he needs a loan - probably season-long - at a Championship club, where he'll have the chance to sink or swim a la KDH or Barnes. On yesterday's showing (and last year's against Forest) it might make or break his career, because we've now seen him be torn apart by second-tier wingers twice in two seasons.

Amartey - no. He's provent to be a massively useful utility player over the years. He should never be first choice again and probably won't be with Souttar and Faes plus Evans coming back. But the problem is having had to rely on him as a first-choice all season, which is not sustainable. Neither is of the standard required at present, but it's only now that we have the options to phase them out of the starting XI. Of the three, I think Amartey has done the best this season in the circumstances, and I'd still have him as a bench option at CB right now if Soyuncu isn't going to play again.

The insane thing is that we've played half a season with these three getting significant game time, and yet somehow we're still 3 points clear of the drop.

Can't rely on him as backup considering it's yet another mistake from him that leads to a goal. Two seaons running we've been dumped out the FA Cup to a Championship club and in both games Amartey has made errors that have led to goals. He isn't good enough and should be let go.

There's not a single member of this squad, with the exception of Danny Ward & Ryan Bertrand, that anyone should be writing off. Over the last 2 years, because of the fact that we haven't had enough players in through the door, Rodgers has convinced the majority of Leicester fans & the media that this squad is appalling and he's doing a magnificent job just keeping us afloat. This is not the case. This is a squad overflowing with international players.

Look at what a good manager can do when they come into a club with players who are seemingly 'not up to it' (Random examples include Howe with Joelinton, Ten Haag with Shaw/Rashford, Emery with Watkins).

Soumare, Thomas & Amartey have all shown that they have the quality to do a job in the premier league. It may not be top 6 quality, but they've all put in perofrmances where they've impressed. Soumare not as much, however the data pool is considerably smaller for him.

I am convinced that they, along with the other 'deadwood' in the squad (Daka, Soyuncu, Vestegaard, Ndidi, etc) will have a significantly better chance of succeeding here with a manager at the helm that genuinely wants the best for the football club.

In an ideal world, Evans comes back and is able to take that role until the end of 2023-24. I'm skeptical given his increasing time on the physio's bench and autumn years though.

I just think it would be foolish to move him on when we're still an injury away from having to play DMs at Centre Back, or calling Marc back from West Brom to play RB. The former has the knock-on effect of ensuring we're still stuck with a midfield where Soumare is a regular fixture, which I think is the root of our problems in that area.

Recruitment is necessary, absolutely, but it needs to happen first before I'd be comfortable moving Big Dan along. I think that flexibility affords itself in the summer when we are likely to lose Tielemans and probably Madders, but we'll see.

All these posts defending Thomas. No he's not good enough, never will be regardless of the manager. He's a left back. No matter what the tactics etc by the manager he needs to be able to defend and he cannot do that. Never mind anything ELSE. He was facing championship players and he failed misrebly against them. I have seen zero evidence he will ever become good enough. Take the blue tinted glasses off. Yes he's from Syston but if he was from anywhere else except Leicester he would have had protests from fans asking him to do one.

First of all I said I was tempted and said I probably wouldn't. You cannot keep comparing 80s and 00s. We didn't have the means or the platform to have capable players like we do know. The players we chose yesterday no matter what the tactics said should have beaten a championship team. We should not be fighting for relegation. But yet we are. Simply because we have very sub par players, heavily rely on 1 or 2 players, not because we don't have the means to have better players, but because some players we have are simply not good enough. It's not just those 3 I blame. It's the manager, the club and other played. We are in a shithole becuase of all these things. Players being too big for their boots is the one that just pisses me off the most.

I would like to see Thomas and Soumare play under different management. I firmly believe they have big issues with how they are being asked to play. Amartey needs to move on, his time is done here.

Being a left back has fundamentals which you need no matter who the manager is. He doesn't have them

No Brendan has managed to turn him into less of a Mark Albrighton !

I hear you, but they dont put themselves in the starting 11. Past few weeks they havent been playing, it was Brendan that decided to chuck them in against Blackburn and to be honest they should have been good enough, but if you dont have the heart for the fight you end up 2-0 down like we did. If you were offered a job on less money and had to work harder would you take it? Exactly which is why we have mediocre players at best sat on their arse 9 games out of 10 happy to pick up their oversized salaries. Yes they are arent good enough but asking them to hand in a transfer request is madness. The club is to blame for having sh1t players on salaries that no other club will entertain. We're currently broken and its going to take some very strong guidance to steer us out of it.

We are currently paying arguably the best striker we've ever had at the club 140k per week, allegedly. The guy has fallen off a cliff this season and quite frankly gives us absolutely nothing when he plays, you want him to hand in a transfer request also?

This is just a nonsensical comment. Vardy has done 10 x for this club what all three of these others have. I'll leave that there.

I'd add Praet and Tete to the list, they were both dogshit aswell.

Praet is not a top 6 player but is a decent sub. Tete it's just too early to tell.

Amartey agree. Thomas needs a loan but could come good. Soumare needs time as there have been a few good performances and I think there’s definitely a player there.

Laziest player I've seen play for us. Will not change from what we have seen.

Was absolutely heartbreaking/disgusting to see a Leicester lad who's lived all our dreams getting booed off last night. You can agree he's not good enough at present but I can't imagine how the poor kid must be feeling when that happens.

He spends half the week pissed mate - I don’t think he’s too bothered.

Soumare was good in the run up to the world cup. Everton & West Ham away in particular.

Thomas pocketed Mo Salah in a game which saw us become the first side to stop Liverpool from scoring for about a year. (Amartey also started that game).

Amartey has been very dependable on a number of occasions.

I'm not saying they're consistently great. I'm saying there have been signs of them all being decent PL players. I'm not entirely sure what's 'extraordinary' about that.

Not buying into the notion that "confidence" is causing these inept performances. Sure, it plays a part. You can use that to excuse the odd misplaced pass or backwards pass. What it doesn't excuse is a lack of trying. Both Soumare and Thomas have played like they don't give a shit, all season. Jogging about. Half hearted tracking back and tackling.

This happens when a malaise and toxicity engulfs a team. Confidence and momentum are two of the biggest drivers of success and we're talking about such marginal gains being the difference.

We need a new manager, he needs a new challenge. It's going horribly downhill and I don't see how he overcomes it.

It's easy and understandable to look at a chunk of our squad and say its not good enough and that's the main reason for our struggles but go a bit deeper. When we were succeeding we still had a chunk of the squad who could be considered not good enough on the basis of technical ability but they would to varying degrees still contribute.

That's because we had a regime that could positively effect the team, to maximise the ability and get every ounce of contribution out of the players. Once that diminishes it becomes a long old battle.

Take for example Rodgers when he first arrives. The team was underperforming, there were players being criticised for not being good enough and then for the next 2.5 years we showed top 6 form throughout. Fringe players came in and contributed and the main players performance levels were relentless. Look at Fulham, they've gone down and then changed manager and come back up with largely the same group of players with some quality additions and collectively they are a class act right now.

The causation and driver of a lot of this is always the effectiveness of a manager and his staff who is fresh and has dynamic ideas and ways of getting his squad to respond and prosper.once that goes, it's an impossible task. Far better managers than Brendan Rodgers have fallen foul to this before and there's no hard feelings.

Both parties now have to go their seperate ways to shine once again.

Thomas - Can't get the basics of defending right, offers nothing going forward either. Kristiansen has shown in his first few games here what is required from a full back.

Amartey - At least one error a game that will most likely lead to a goal

Soumare - Words can't describe his ineffectual and lazy performances.

All three are p*ss poor and not at a level to be playing in the premier league.

Yeah my point being that overall he’s not a good player. However, I agree that there is no chance with Rodgers in charge, despite him insisting on playing him ahead of those more deserving.

Either he or Rodgers has to go for him to be a success.

He is lazy but this should be trained out of him rather than trained into him. It’s the coach’s job to train the players so they should get him playing at a higher intensity. Part of the blame should be on management but I do agree he isn’t the best solution but I don’t think he is as bad as people are saying.

First point about Thomas 'pocketing' Salah, let's think about this for a second. The likely hood of Thomas being too good for Salah vs Salah just having an off day? I know which one is more likely.

Amartey and dependable should not be said in the same sentence. If anything most games he's been the opposite of dependable and has cost us points.

I think you can say they've been consistently bad with signs (or maybe glimmers) of them being very average
