Popular Post LCFCJoe96 Posted 13 June 2023 Popular Post Posted 13 June 2023 Women's Super League 2023-24: 1. Arsenal 2. Aston Villa 3. Brighton & Hove Albion 4. Bristol City 5. Chelsea 6. Everton 7. LEICESTER CITY 8. Liverpool 9. Manchester City 10. Manchester United 11. Tottenham Hotspur 12. West Ham United Start Date: 29th/30th September/1st October End Date: 18th/19th May Other Dates: FA Cup Final: 11th/12th May - Enter 4th Round Conti Cup Final (League Cup): 30th/31st March - Enter Group Stage (Unless there's another format change) Notes: - A later than usual start thanks to a later than usual World Cup and also a slightly earlier finish so those big breaks between games should be less prevalent this season - Speaking of the World Cup, we should have a few players at the tournament for the first time - Bristol City return to the top flight after a year away, they've also announced that Ashton Gate will be their main home ground this season (joining us as the only clubs to not their "proper stadium" as their main home ground) - Arsenal are set to use the Emirates more from this season but I imagine our trip there will still be Borehamwood, other than that no other ground news so likely Spurs at Brisbane Road, West Ham at Dagenham, Brighton at Crawley, Liverpool at Tranmere, Everton at a park, Man U at Leigh, Chelsea at Kingsmeadow, Villa at Walsall & Man City at the Academy Stadium - We are expected to invest heavily this off-season, should hear more on that in the next few weeks! - Hard to predict anything beyond last season's top 4 being next season's top 4 just in a different order, we want to be pushing on but we'll see! 6
The Doctor Posted 13 June 2023 Posted 13 June 2023 Gonna be an interesting season. Bristol feel quite ill equipped so hopefully not another relegation scrap, although all change at West ham again with Konchesky leaving so they'd be my outside pick to struggle. Wouldn't be surprised to see Spurs in top half with England up top for a whole campaign. Predictions: Title: Arsenal (think the delay to the start of the season really benefits them in getting Mead and Miedema back) Relegated: Bristol City Leicester: 8th 1
KingsX Posted 13 June 2023 Posted 13 June 2023 Loan Ward to Spurs and give the money to Leitzig please
Tuna Posted 13 June 2023 Posted 13 June 2023 A season not occupying the relegation places for 90% of it would be nice, also should really sign Leitzig if possible. 1
Leicesterpool Posted 13 June 2023 Posted 13 June 2023 My local ladies side im involved in the women's fa cup this year!! Missed out last year as we missed the deadline to enter. 1
iancognito Posted 13 June 2023 Posted 13 June 2023 Bristol have one or two of our Championship squad in there side I think. With the departures at the end of last season there's certainly room on the wage bill & roster to get a couple more bigger names in. Howard, O'Brien & Cain is a strong spine but Hannah will need help up top because she can't do it herself and if she has anymore injury worries we're screwed. Keep Lietzig = 8th, without Lietzig 11th.
LCFCJoe96 Posted 16 June 2023 Author Posted 16 June 2023 FA Cup round dates confirmed, be nice to have a decent run in one of the cups 1
phoneticerror Posted 16 June 2023 Posted 16 June 2023 I did a job for work with Bristol City womens team a year or so ago. Great bunch of girls, lovely to see them doing well.
Jimmy Posted 19 June 2023 Posted 19 June 2023 interesting they tagged Nevin, she was only signed on loan, hopefully that means she's staying here 1

Finnegan Posted 4 July 2023 Posted 4 July 2023 I'll admit I'm pretty ignorant when it comes to women's football. Is there FFP in the WSL? Given the relatively low cost of women's footballers, couldn't King Power "splash the cash" and build a squad to comfortably be in the top half for less than a couple of million? I know we're a club with financial concerns but it seems odd that we made a big fuss about getting to the WSL but then just seem content fvcking around in a relegation scrap losing 90% of games every year? 2
SK3Blue Posted 4 July 2023 Posted 4 July 2023 How much was a season ticket last year for the women's team out of interest.

Effectively you can do what you want, United have started arguing for a salary cap because they don’t want to spend what Chelsea/Arsenal/Man City are paying. 6 minutes ago, SK3Blue said: How much was a season ticket last year for the women's team out of interest. £42 for an adult, expect that to go up somewhat though because it’s ridiculously cheap 1

Hence why Russo has just joined Arsenal. If people think rudkin is a bad negotiator/****ed up with Tielemans they'd blow a gasket at this situation. Turned down two world record bids for her in January with 6 months on her contract, kept her for a title race, lost it on the final day and lost her for nothing

Emily Ramsey, their effective #2 has just left on a free today too after turning down a new offer.
