That’s one time while we’re already relegated try doing it more consistently while pressure is on

So he did do it then. Look, he was crap for much of the season but let’s give credit when it’s fair.

For me that doesn’t deserve credit though you’re a professional in the best league in the world and you can make one run and assist all season? Ricky p use to do that stuff multiple times a game that’s a quality right back

Did you see all the goals conceded down his side

To be fair, a lot of those were as much due to Sideshow Bob as to Justin.

You saw Vardy’s goal last week right?

You don’t base an assessment of a player’s season on one assist in a dead rubber against a club that has obtained 12 points all season right? Next thing you’ll be telling me Patson Daka has had a fantastic season because of the goal he scored against WHam.😂

Of course not, but the poster said there wasn’t an example of his doing something like that so provided it.

And he was poor like I said for the first half of the season, not helped by Faes. But it’s to his credit he’s improved significantly and that should be recognised.

I was the poster and I didn’t say there wasn’t an example. I was saying I preferred a fit Ricardo. I said that generally this season JJ’s been poor in defence (he’s not the only one) and in supporting the attack and I think that’s a reasonable comment even considering the Vardy assist, the Arsenal game and the slight upturn in performances recently (after relegation was confirmed and the pressure was off.)

Would be a steady useful player if on 20k a week, 60/70k a week is a piss take and he needs to leave too

No one signs him on those wages, he's here to stay.

Wouldn't mind if we kept him but I feel like the decision might be financial - I think there's bigger issues with the squad and in the right system he would do well. I mentioned on the Thomas thread but I feel like what's been asked of the fullbacks this season seemed to change every game so would be hard to get any consistency. Most minutes played for us this year too and when he was getting a lot of flack never hid.

Definitely regressed since his injury and just feels like he needs a move and change of scenery for his own good.

I'd accept he's probably good enough to start for us in the championship, but it feels like it would just be best for all parties to find a way out the club.

And if we have to throw a load of kids in I'd prefer to see Ricky stay and start as an experienced player. Without vardy I feel we need some leadership and Ricky is top draw in the championship. Just needs wrapping in cotton wool during the week. Keep him away from ACL grave

Very smart footballer.

Knew that it would start to look like match fixing if he misplaced any more passes, so went down injured for 5 minutes to kill our momentum instead.

In all seriousness, it's hilarious that the injury came from yet another heavy touch of his.

Hats off to the lad for inventing new ways to kill our momentum. We win that game today without that stoppage. Incredibly annoying.
