I’m pretty sure I gave the club some feedback on introducing something like this. If I did, well done for listening!

Two eligible young fans per game get a photo with Filbert and some other stuff. This will make a good amount of difference introctrinating the next generation - although why leave it at 2 per game? I know Filbert is busy on a match day and is still harbouring hope of seeing Cousin Dennis and Vicky Vixen again, but surely he could see more?

Also who takes a 2 year old to a football game?!

Fair play to the club, it's a special moment for any parent/guardian taking their kid to the first match, so nice they're trying to put a cherry on a cake. Could it be better, maybe... but I'll park my cynicism! Agreed, sod taking a 2 year old!

Took my son to his first match when he was 5 vs Crystal Nugantis as he called them (Palace). We lost 1-0. He thought Nugantis were amazing. It cost me a fortune in a) sweets/donuts and b) data on my phone to keep him there for the 90 mins. He liked it. I loved it! Been a lifelong fan ever since. Until he turned to rugby at 14 and broke his old mans heart :D

Ermmmm, my two kids have been going since they were 2. Both would have shat their pants if Filbert went anywhere near them though

Well, the honest answer is sweets. I used to take my daughter to Morrisons on the way down and she would choose some sweets, my boy just loves football and would ask question after question after question, still does now.

If they cared about anything like this they'd make games more accessible to general sale when they're clearly not going to sell out.

Obviously I never want to see the day where we are only getting 20,000 again but they'd be doing everything they could with offers to get you down then. Now we sell out every week you see exactly what they think of us.

Honestly the way you've phrased this makes it sound like Vicky has taken out a restraining order against him, and Dennis has gone non contact, like Filbert is a deadbeat dad

Well how do we know that is not what’s gone on?

Had to be done. My daughter isn't that fussed with the football to this day, unless we celebrate a goal.

My boy absolutely loves it, plays for Market Harborough and constantly asks to see Leicester highlights of games.

My excuse for the sweets is, if I didn't take the kids I wouldn't have been there anyway, it worked for me 😁

My Sons first game today and he was lucky enough to be picked out to meet Filbert and receive the goodie bag.

Helped to make a great day even better.

Great day, great memory’s made and a great club.
